Seeing as how Paladin's Quest is a decent game, I'd say Secret of the Stars is worse.

Oh yeah, the sequel to Paladin's Quest is even better.

But yeah, tracking down that expensive shit is gonna suck. I'll pick away at it though.
Just curious, are you getting just the loose cart for these RPGs or CIB?

Paladin's Quest was decent? Hmm. You know, I've owned that game for years now. I only got it because it was under $10 on eBay (years ago). I only played about 10 minutes of it just to check it out. A friend told me how much he hated it, and I once read a bad review on it online. So I guess I've always just wrote it off.

I've heard of the sequel, only released in Japan. IIRC, there's a translation patch for it.

It's an acquired taste like The 7th Saga, I think.

Paladin's Quest? Another Enix RPG I was unaware of. How many of these obscure Enix titles exist on the SNES anyway?

*reads*

There is no form of MP for the characters. Instead, characters cast spells by spending their own HP. Only one spell exists in the game to directly heal HP, and using it kills the caster in order to heal the rest of the party.

Actually Enix was more of a publisher than developer.

ActRaiser, ActRaiser 2, Soul Blazer, and Robotrek were developed by Quintet. So was Illusion of Gaia, but that was published by Nintendo not Enix. Nintendo also published Terranigma in Europe (Enix published the Japanese version).

E.V.O. is by Almanic and is a heavily reworked port of a PC-98 game.

The 7th Saga and Brain Lord are by Produce.

Ogre Battle is by Quest.

King Arthur & the Knights of Justice is actually a Western game, developed by Manley and Associates.

And Paladin's Quest was developed by Copya Systems, who apparently didn't make too many RPGs besides the Lennus games.

I wonder where all those devs are now, aside form Quest being gobbled up by Square to do nothing with their IP's.

Quintet did Robotrek? Haha had no idea on that one. It must dab into religion at some point? lol
