it's an awesome game, but i'm not sure if it's worth the premium it commands. there are better 2D platformers on the saturn for way cheaper (Rayman being one of them).

It looked so ridiculous from the videos that I had to have it. However, I didn't pay anywhere near the crazy ebay prices.

good :)

enjoy Willy Wombat! a great isometric perspective platformer. there are a lot of games on the saturn that employ that perspective, oddly enough (Crimewave, Steamgear Mash, Sonic 3D Blast, Crusader: No Remorse, Prikura Daisakusen, Whizz).

Just saw nephew finish Albert Odys. I was surprise since he recently turned 18 not many pre Xbox 360/PS3 games hold his interest for long. We did have to get a walkthrough for that last level as it was just plain ridiculously infuriating. I normally try not to go that route unless absolutely necessary. Good way to spend time w him as now he is getting older and well you know how that goes.

I think Albert will be a good one since its not too complicated. Except for that darn last level. A 10 yo should have no problem with it. Especially with its cutesy characters. Oh by the way i did pick u a retail copy (just the disc) of Nights..Still think its Meh..

Hi everyone. I recently got my first Saturn, from Ebay. I'm a huge Sega fan, and decided it was finally time to give my genesis/cd/32x some company :) Its an RGB setup and it looks great.

Here is my current library:

Astal
The Lost World
Scorcher
Ultimate MK3
Nights
Quake
Amok
Bust-a-Move 2
Wipeout
Croc
NBA Jam TE
Three Dirty Dwarves

I like most of these games, but I'm finding I'm drawn to the 2D titles in particular.

With that in mind, I was looking for some recommendations. I'm in search of great platformers, beat em ups, and shmups. I have a list of games I'd like to get eventually, but some of them just aren't obtainable right now due to price (Dracula X, Dungeons & Dragons etc). One I'm strongly considering is 'In the Hunt' - thoughts?

Any suggestions are welcome 8)

In the Hunt is fun IMHO. It is a bit more like a run and gun than a shmup since the screen only moves when you do and it is slower paced.
