Out Run 3-D $75
Jesus, is this really the going rate for Out Run 3D? I remember importing that game back in like 99, CIB, for less than $20.
best i can tell $75 is conservative. i tried to price it fairly but ultimately i'm not married to that price so i'm up for whatever. there aren't too many instances of the game (the US version anyway) coming up on the 'bay, or really anywhere, let alone a complete, NM copy like the one i have.

'99 was 14 years ago, too 8)
Tell me about it. Like I said, I'm extremely out of touch with the value of the games I actually own, because I don't go around looking for them. That blows me away! I wonder how much my stuff is worth. I have some games which I know are hard to find and pricey, like Dynamite Headdy, Ecco the Dolphin: The Tides of Time, Sonic Blast, and Earthworm Jim. If Outrun 3D goes for $75, those games are probably worth a mint.

Great thread - where it's cool to be uncool.

Here's mine.

1. Super Mario Bros 2 (USA) is the best platformer on the NES. Mario 3 is a close second.

2. A Link to the Past is the best Zelda has ever been to date. The GB/GBC games are close seconds. 3D and Zelda go together like onions on a banana split.

3. Dragon Warrior/Quest > Final Fantasy

4. No Final Fantasy plot has made a damn bit of sense after FF3(6). Every game after that has been a convoluted mess from a story perspective.

5. TBS > RTS

6. 9 times out of 10, emulation is a perfectly acceptable substitute for the real hardware these days. I don't mind paying someone for the games either. Plus it avoids the ineveitable difficulties of getting a decent picture out of a 25 year old console attached to a 3 year old television.

7. Since the DS generation, Handhelds > Consoles. Sure it's a vastly different experience on handhelds. But if you are a retro gamer, handhelds are where it's at - many handheld games are made in similar styles to the classics of yore.

8. The SMS is vastly underrated (plenty of great games on it that no one played, me included). The NES is vastly overrated (plenty of classics that are remembered today while the massive volumes of craptacular games are (mostly) conveniently forgotten). Both are good systems overall though.

9. I will buy a Wii U as soon as my wedding happens and I have some money to spend on something that is not the wedding. Meanwhile I have no plans to buy a PS4 or an Xbox Whatever-it's-Called.

I'm sure I'll think of more later. :D

HOLY SHIT

You want to talk about putting me in a good mood! Wow, I'm floored. I just checked too, there's no Ecco: TToT on ebay. I got that one for free, now I'm curious to see how much it goes for.

yeah that ecco could garner quite a pretty penny if promoted properly.

Sweet!

Here's where I might lose you. I just thought of this one:

GB/GBC > GBA as far as game selection goes.

Red Dead Redemption has the best online multiplayer out of any other game ever.

My favorite game system to come out in the past ten years is the 3DS.

Nier is a fantastic game and I don't know why everyone hates it.

Persona is the worst SMT sub-series, but that doesn't stop me from playing them...

Well you cheated by lumping the GB and GBC together. That's like saying

NES/SNES > N64
