Oh yeah. Super Mario Land 2 compared to Super Mario Land is like Super Mario Bros. 3 compared to Super Mario Bros.KillerJuan77 wrote:Is it better? 1.- The art direction is all over the place.
2.- The games enemies are much worse than the original Mario enemies and they are incredibly cheap.
3.- Jumping is more... touchy here.

I'm of the opinion that Super Mario Land 2 is the best Super Mario platformer, console iterations included.KillerJuan77 wrote: Is it better? I'm liking Super Mario Land but it's just... average, I shouldn't be saying that on a sentence that includes the words "Super" and "Mario".
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: What are you playing?
So due to this thread I went out and picked up heavy rain...
Thank you to everyone that talked about this game, I absolutely love it. I've been in a huge rut lately. I have been just starting games and after putting in a couple hours getting bored never to return again. The list of games I've done this to just this summer is pretty big and I feel kinda stupid about it. I think it might have to do with the fact that I just watched a couple of seasons of 24 and the games I have been playing just aren't paced very well. HR is by far the only game to suck me in like this since, well I can't remember, probably the first time I played demons soul's.
The best part is I know as soon as I finish the game I'm going to jump right back in and play through being an asshole instead of trying to be nice and do good.
Soon I can find a copy of Cathrine I'm going to snatch it up as fast as I can. Also due to everyone talking about that game.
Thanks again everyone

I gotta be honest, I can't seem to get into Demon's Crest (SNES). I want to like this game, it's got great graphics and the same composer from Super Ghouls n' Ghosts (probably made by the same devs entirely and all?...), but I just can't totally get into it. Weird.

Very pissed at Link to the past at the moment. Died on the boss in the ice dungeon. You need to use the fire rod and a bunch of magic during the fight. I ran out of magic power and couldnt damage the boss frozen in ice. So I ended up saving and quitting. When I resumed, I still had no magic power and I played for a good 30 minutes of killing enemies and nobody dropped any magic power in the green bottles. I can't go back to the ice dungeon without magic power, and I can't get any magic green bottles. I guess I'll try again later. I'm so close to finishing it.

Re: What are you playing?
The "From Dust" demo, it's absolutely breathtaking and the water simulation is absolutely astonishing considering it's running on a console. As for the gameplay, it's an interesting take on the strategy genre since you actually build stuff through elements.
Re: What are you playing?
Sonic and Sega All Star Racing - can't help it, this game is just too much fun.

Re: What are you playing?
The level 3 boss in Child of Eden on Kinect hard mode is kicking my ass. 3 tries. 3 fails. It's helping me get more accurate and strategize better, but it's a little frustrating too. Didn't need much of any strategy on normal difficulty.
Re: What are you playing?
Have you found the magic meter upgrade yet? That'll make a big difference, and you're definitely gonna need it for later battles anyway.SwooshBear wrote:Very pissed at Link to the past at the moment. Also, you don't have any spare bottles to put some Magic potion or Cure all potion in? If not, find more bottles. Use a guide if you need to just to locate them, but it helps a lot to have all 4 for your first time through the game.
