Just a question, what do you guys consider "Beaten"?
a full 100%,or just the credits?
like in SA:DX,you can unlock Sega gamegear games for every 20 medals you collect

Credits (or some definable end) is Beaten to me. 100%, everything unlocked, played and finished in a game is Completed.

Its a bit different for everyone though. Like some only consider shmups beaten if they 1CC them. I however do not do that. Count what you want, its not a contest.

Fun little game from the creator of VVVVVV. Unfortunately, like VVVVVV, it's also prone to missing button presses or holding the button much longer than I did, creating a slew of accidental deaths (read: not my fault). It reminded me a lot of that one Bible story where that one guy couldn't look back at his wife or she'd turn to salt, or that one Greek mythology story where the other dude couldn't look back at his lover as he took her out of the underworld or she'd go back down, never to return.

#1. BIT.TRIP RUNNER
#2. F.E.A.R.
#3. F.E.A.R. Extraction Point
#4. F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate
#5. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
#6. Espgaluda II Black Label !NEW!
Ok, loving the deep mechanics of this one, but the difficulty on anything other than the added novice mode is a nail-biting, epileptic experience...definitely harder than Futari.
All in all some choice stuff here.

1. Mercs (PS2)
2. Darkstalkers 3 (PS1)
3. House Of The Dead Overkill (Wii)
4. Mega Man 3 (PS2)
5. Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters (PS2)
6. Halo 2600 (Atari 2600)
I actually beat it on a PS2 emulator, but let me just say... O. M. G.
Halo 2600 is AMAZING. When Ed Fries was on the podcast I found the whole story of the game very compelling. But at the same time I just kind of figured, "oh yeah, it's a novelty." I guess I just assumed that the fact that he made a Halo game using fucking Notepad seemed so cool that it almost didn't matter how playable the game even was. I had downloaded the ROM after the podcast but there was no 2600 emulator for GBA. However, once I got a PS2 and PSP again I quickly threw Halo 2600 on each and started messing around.
Instantly I was hooked. Now just for background, the 2600 was my second console ever. My first was C64, but that was when I was like 6 years old and I only had learning games. So I was rocking the 2600 and a HUGE box of hand-me-down carts until the NES finally landed in my living room in 86 or 87 or whatever. What I'm saying is I've played my (more than) fair share of 2600 games. Trust me. And I have some favorites, but this just floored me. How did he make this as such a tiny file? It's one of the most well thought out, well organized, captivating and endorphin-pumping 2600 games I've ever played. I mean I was addicted for days. I kept thinking about strategies and "oh I don't think I checked that room" or "SHIT! Where were those boots???" etc. It took me three times of getting to the end boss before I could beat him. And let me say it was an intense boss-fight. I mean my heart actually started racing a little. Oh man so fucking awesome. I really hope Fries does another one. Seriously, this game is so much bigger than its hype.

Those were pretty much my experience growing up and thus my subsequent thoughts about Halo 2600 as well, although I went from 2600>7800>Genesis (didn't pick up an NES until the 2000s). Seriously, even if you don't like Halo or 2600 games, you will like this.
