Hey everyone
I live in Brooklyn, new york city
I'm also an artist and i play guitar.
I've been playing videogames since atari came out back in the 70's
I currently have a collection of systems and games
turbographx 16
sega saturn
sega dreamcast
nes
super nes
sega genesis
playstation
n64
3do
I havent bought any of the newer systems, since i started to play
computer games and discovered system emulators.
My claim to fame - I once scored with a chick by actually letting her watch me beat casltevania 4 for super nes. She thought it was cute..lol.
So anyways, thanks for having me on board
I've been coming to this website and forums for a few months now.

I've been reading articles on this site for a while after a fellow Saturn fan introduced me to it.
Anyhow; I am a collector of Saturn, Dreamcast, (and thanks to this site) am now trying to complete my Neo Geo Pocket collection.
Though not a Genesis collector myself, I'm obviously a huge fan of General Chaos. Some of my other favorites include Guardian Heroes, Dragon Force, Shining Force, Culdcept, Ooga Booga, Armada, and a host of other DC and Saturn games.
I'm also a huge fan of the Quest For Glory series for the PC, and enjoy PC gaming for my micro-management needs. Some of my PC favorites include the Cultures series, Europa 1400: The Guild (although the second one was a big let down), Myth (NOT Myst), and Dungeon Keeper 2. I used to be a big Ultima Online player but have recently strayed from online gaming in favor of local multiplayer.
...and that is my gaming profile in a nutshell. I hope to post and read more in these forums.

I managed to miss this thread..
I'm in my thirties so I grew up with gaming and will play on anything, but a lot of what I collect now is stuff that I missed out on, either because we couldn't afford it when I was growing up or because I had other interests. I was heavy into computers rather than just gaming so I basically skipped the 8 and 16-bit console wars. My son is also indulging in some faux nostalgia and gets a kick out of playing old games.
I found the site when looking for Saturn info. Funnily enough, it keeps coming up now in my searches
I love the "hidden gems" articles.
What we have:
Genesis MK-1631
Dreamcast Sega Sports edition
Saturn Mk I (waiting to be wrapped up for Christmas, hehe)
Playstation (with modchip)
Playstation 3 (60gb, w/ hardware PS2 support)
PSP (custom firmware)
Wii
DS Lite
What we've had before and gotten rid of:
Genesis
PS1
PS2
Xbox
NES (front and top loaders)
SNES
N64
GBA SP
DS
Gamecube

I enjoy sites like this today for these reasons.
I remember in 2000 when I came back into the hardcore gaming scene (I took a hiatus from around 96 until 2000 for more recreational chemical stimulants) finding info on the web was HARD. I stuck with my gut feelings and what I knew I wanted.
I wish this site was around then... the only place I really had was SegaXtreme... and really at the time it was more of a bootlegger scene.

Oh my god, me and a friend spent quite a few days on General Chaos. It's still so unique to this day. I loved the expressions on the little sprites. Totally forgot about this one.lordofduct wrote:GREAT GAME!!!!
I still whip out General Chaos when I got some old school gamer friends over. Amazing 2 player battle going on!

I love these sort of games and haven't found one that has replicated the atmosphere and gameplay of General Chaos. Of course we have the Power Stones and the like, but GC still offers something entirely unique. I even enjoy the training mode. There's just something about seeing those dummies shake when dynamite explodes on them.Mozgus wrote:Oh my god, me and a friend spent quite a few days on General Chaos. tsup all
I'm from San Diego Cally and I stumbled across your forums
looking for a Neo Geo CD cue maker. Found it anyway.
Why you ask? well . . .
I did a PSP CF mod about 3 days ago for a really cool
guy here in the NAVY who was sick of his pals rubbing there
modded PSPs in his face. Turns out the guy had no room for it and
he was so happy with all the help I gave him that
he just kinda had this stuffed in his closet and said "take it"
yes, a dude just GAVE me his NEO GEO CD CONSOLE.
Well deserved seeing as I'm actually a bit less fortunate than him.
Gotta get me a job soon so I can pay off the loans and all that sh%!%
sweet.
nice to meet y' all.

New to the forum, but I've been coming to this site for well over a year now (just recently on a regular basis though). I love reading the articles on the main page. I'm a huge Dreamcast fan and just love Sega games in general. Anyway, I look forward to chatting with you guys and hopefully helping some of you out
