I just downloaded The Hurt Locker. Pretty good flick. My friends and I sometimes say that there are two kinds of war movies. The first kind depicts soldiers as heroes; the second kind depicts soldiers as nutcases. The Hurt Locker is the second kind. The main character is addicted to the adrenaline rush he feels when disarming bombs. Over the course of the movie he gets a number of people hurt or killed. Oftentimes he acts like a dumbass and doesn't face any repercussions. Eventually, he comes to terms with the fact that only disarming bombs can make him happy in a way his family can't.

Short Circuit. I like this one, I wish I'd seen it sooner. G.W. Bailey's character is just downright despicable here, unlike his roles in Mannequin and Police Academy. Is there an unofficial soundtrack to this movie?

I watched Legion on Blu-Ray this past Friday. It was a decent action movie, but the dialogue was pretty bad. Overall, it reminded me a bit of Tremors for some reason, which is a good thing in my book, oddly enough.

I am thinking she is a virgin. Or at least she used to be.

My Dinner With Andre. This movie is fantastic. I popped the DVD in to quickly preview it but I was instantly mesmerised by Andre's speech I left it on and sat there intently listening for nearly two hours. If like me you love movies like Waking Life make sure to watch this at some point.

I've been wanting to see "My Dinner with Andre", but now I'm not so sure. "Waking Life" was pretty annoying. I had to turn it off halfway through because I couldn't tolerate the smug, self-satisfied people spouting ill-informed college-freshman philosophy.Pulsar_t wrote:If like me you love movies like Waking Life make sure to watch this at some point.

I guess Andre can come off as smug to some viewers. Mind you I'm not deeply acquainted with philosophy (darn big books that instill fear in me!) so these movies provide some good food for thought even if they are somewhat pretentious.Limewater wrote:I've been wanting to see "My Dinner with Andre", but now I'm not so sure. Btw Andre wasn't allowed a free reign throughout the whole movie. The conversation became quite interesting towards the end.

Such a good flick, Harrison Ford is amazing in every movie he does.BoringSupreez wrote:
