I think the criticism of "why play this game when I could do this on my own" is one of my biggest pet peeves.

I see this for so many damn games. Like in video game reviews I always see this

"Oh, I don't play sports games because I could just play those in real life". Let's be real here, this isn't true because

- That person is probably too lazy to do that
- Likely too nerdy to do that
- Have no one to play it with

Or the most obvious one, it's not the same bloody experience!

I've seen people say these things about driving and rhythm games - and those examples truly blow my mind. Why play a driving sim when you can just drive in real life? Huh????

Except what I said and the examples you gave aren't the same thing.

Admittedly though, how many other games let you drive a forklift? I can only think of a handful.

Well no, it was a pet peeve I have against people who say it in general, not yours in specific.

Though your response is still absurd. I'm not sure how walking around a city is the same thing as playing Shenmue. I might as well walk around my local forest, it's probably the same thing as Zelda.

It is only good in four player, the other games are more of an action rpg though and you dont have just the bubble you get to play in. The two on the DS are two of the best games on the console.

Do we have to load up BF1942 Desert Combat again and have me flip your tank over again.

If the only thing to do in Zelda is walk around forests, then yes, it too would get boring fast.

Context, amigo.

Only if we can hold a point by you driving it around while Scorpion and I sit on the lift and shoot anything that moves.

But forklifts were better in Escape Velocity where they were super weapons.
