As much as I don't like GameStop, they still keep me coming back. They emailed me a 20% off coupon just because it was my birthday. How am I not gonna use that?

Add that with the $5 off and you've got yourself a damn good deal.

While I don't like GameStop for used games (they always try to give me the most messed up case and disc they can) the PowerUp Rewards are nice. Seems like once every few months I get a $10 off or a 20% off coupon.

Yeah, as much as some folks complain about employees pushing the PUR Pro thing, it really is pretty sweet and pays for itself in no time. Plus Game Informer isn't too bad to read while taking a dump.

I wouldn't mind keeping the Pro membership every year, but I don't like getting the Game Informer magazine subscription with it. I'm not reading these fucking things and I have a stack of them. I would rather have the Pro membership be half the price without the magazine subscription.

I have no problem being vocal about what I want in GameStops. "Can I look at that disc?" or "I don't want that case, never mind." On the rare occasion I want to buy a new game in a GameStop I start off by saying "Do you have any sealed copies of ______ ?" If the answer is no, then I say thanks anyway and leave. They're the only show in town around here, so it's hard not to go there.

You aren't taking enough dumps, then.

Pro is definitely worth it if you buy games used and/or trade stuff in frequently.

I never understood reading while taking a dump. Or the entire, "I gotta shit, see you in a half hour" thing. Why are you spending so much time on the toilet? Go in, sit down, dump, wipe, wash your fucking hands... the entire affair should only take a minute or two. There shouldn't be enough time for reading. And furthermore, most of the activity requires my hands. The only time my hands are free is while the actual pooping is being done. And there just isn't enough time there to read, save for something stupid written on the wall.

Yeah. I'm finally learning to speak up as well. I have made a habit of asking for a sealed new copy (it's not new if it isn't sealed anyways) but I tend to be a bit quieter about the used games. Although I have always checked the discs in the parking lot before I leave.

The GIs are actually decent. They have some good pieces on occasion and it is nice seeing some stuff in print.
