It irks me when anyone refers to the original of any series as "something1", but I still find myself doing it. And I feel no shame. I also say "CNEZ" for Super Nintendo.
On topic: Sonic R is quite good if you play it how it wants to be played and you play as Knuckles and you change the handling in the menu. The music has always and will always be cool.
Street Fighter 3: Third strike is a great game but I would still play Marvel vs Capcom 2, Guilty Gear X2, Capcom vs SNK 2, Last Blade 2 or Mark of the Wolves before it purely because they are just much more fun games to play (and watch). That's before we add 3D fighters to the mix.
Same goes for Street Fighter 4 and its variations, I appreciate it's a quality title but I'd rather be playing Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 or King of Fighters 13 or even Injustice.
