Didn't know where else to put this, but I just watched this Star Wars short film based on TIE Fighter. It's done in 1980's sci-fi anime style.
It's just freakin' awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PN_CP4SuoTU

The last anime I watched was Psycho-Pass 2. It was a big letdown from the first season (which was amazing). Changing writers ruined the series.
Now I'm watching Tokyo Ghoul and it's a lot of fun so far. Interesting to see the ghoul angle after the zombie and vampire angles are so burnt out.

PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I love the original Sailor Moon series. I hope you have fun with it. I'm actually working on Sailor Moon R, myself. Make sure you watch the Japanese dub though. The English version changed a lot of things that were great about the series, like cutting awesome episodes and even changing the main character's name. Additionally, some of the voice acting is just down right atrocious
As an aside, I would say to stay far away from Sailor Moon Crystal as I really didn't care for that. It just seems too girly, and I don't like the new character models. There are also revisions to the episodes.

Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendat
Forgot to post this, but I recently watched an Anime movie called, "The Place We Were Promised in Our Early Days" (or "Beyond The Clouds" as it's known in it's English dub; which makes no sense, since they just put the Japanese title at the beginning of the dub movie anyways).
It was.....good. Not amazing by any means, but good. My big beef with it, though, is that the time skips are a mess, if you watch it dubbed, because ADV Films never bothered to translate any of the text in the film. So, it had me wondering if time had passed, or if we were looking at completely different characters. Also, the film doesn't 100% pick up, until like, 55 minutes into the film (keep in mind that this is a 1 1/2 hour movie). I honestly got bored with most of it, tbh.
However, it was still good; I just wouldn't recommend it to anyone who happens to be new to Anime. I'm sure the sub is better, in regards to the time skips, though, but I never bothered to check.

This user really likes SEGA Saturn. Avoid at all costs.

Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendat
I started watching the new Gundam show, Reconguista in G. I was initially excited since it's from Tomino and the mecha designs are by Akira Yasuda.
I'm kind of meh on it so far and having trouble following the different factions and such. It's certainly a different feel from most shows in the franchise though.

Darn three of the shows I watched just ended 2 of which look like they are done all together. Another one ends tommorrow as well but at least it has room for a second season.
Endings so far have been somewhat dissatisfying
.
Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu(Aka Parasite the Maxim)- Awesome show which I really enjoyed. The ending however played things very safe and didn't have much in the way of actions. The way it ended there is a possibility that another season could be made, but it seems pretty conclusive plus they've used up all the Manga story I believe.
Akatsuki no Yona- Another great show, but once again the last episode kind of fizzled out as opposed to leaving things on a cliff hanger. Season 2 has already confirmed though so a calm kind of intermission style ending isn't to bad.
Aldnoah.Zero 2nd Season- Probably one of my favorite mech shows in recent years however the ending sucks so bad. There also isn't really much for another season and this episode seems like it is the conclusion for the series. It was just really disappointing there was the final "epic" battle which ended up being pretty mediocre, and probably not even in my top 10 battles of the series
. The first season ended with a bang this season really fizzled out though and the worst part is they just told the romantic side of the story to go screw itself the way they ended it.
Nanatsu no Taizai- Yet another great action show and I have high hopes for the final episode which starts streaming tomorrow. Although there is a high potential that it will yet another kind of peacful/slow ending since the previous episode already had what was most likely the climatic battle of this season most likely. Really have high hopes that there will be a season 2 though since there is still plenty of locations and back stories to explore plus I believe the Manga is still on going.
At least I can rely on Onepiece and Naruto Shippuden to keep going though and I have high hopes for some of the shows which are about to start airing

Have you watched other Makoto Shinkai movies? I've seen a couple others or so, and so far none of them have really had a super straightforward story. Could actually make them a great entry into anime for some people though. The film festival type crowd, for instance. Not that one as much though, but 5 Centimeters Per Second or the Garden of Words, perhaps (plus those are much shorter
