The new Voltron is pretty darn good, and includes some humor of the type that will ensure it's not just kids who will enjoy it. It pays great visual and character homage to the original Go Lion Voltron while still clearly charting its own path. The only thing that really bugs me so far is that for all the homage the show pays, they have no callbacks whatsoever to the classic theme or sound effects. It's almost like they don't get what video game companies have known for decades now. Every time there was a great callback scene I kept imagining the classic music in my head and being disappointed with the new stuff they cooked up.

So many bad things happened in episode 10 of JJ...

...and ep11 of JJ was pretty much an hour of heartbreak. Jeez, man.

Oh god, two left. Episode 11 was the last ep I saw on the plane to Vegas and then I skipped gambling to finish the last two because HOW CAN YOU STOP THERE?!

Yeah, I had to go at least a week between episodes for Jessica Jones, until episode 11, at which point the wife and I watched all 3 right in a row.

ep12 of JJ ended w/ me straight up yelling "NO!!!!"

Now I know things that make me think that what I just saw is somehow going to be okay. But I'm just... ugh... like, almost fighting tears here.

...on to ep13!

It ends so perfectly. Most shows rely on some "what's happening???" cliffhanger. Some reason that you HAVE to tune back in. Jessica Jones ends on a simple "this show is so good, that you WILL tune back in."

Brilliant, brilliant writing. Seriously one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. I loved it so much. I'm almost sad to see the season end.

yeah it was great. I'll be dipping into Daredevil next. Gotta get myself caught up for Luke Cage and The Defenders.

I have three left on DareDevil season 2, just waiting on the wife to finish her commission load so we can get time to watch them.

So I burned through Better of Ted and am now working through Season 4 of Orange is the New Black.
