I dunno...I've always rather disliked "Caucasian" and "African-American".
It's so much easier to use "white" and "black", or even better, euphemisms! We've got salt 'n pepper, white chocolate & dark chocolate, the list goes on. Damn it, now it's not controversial at all! I've gone and made it fun.
Shit.
I'm not sure what alternate titles for a Kevin Costner film have to do with this.

Like the rest of my body, they'll be ignoring it in the hopes that it goes away faster if I don't pay attention to it. I suppose I should remember that'll be a bad time to decide to order a pizza.

: It's killing me applying for jobs and not being able to complete the online forms due to a lack of references. I'm kind of a loner so I feel kind of screwed over when I go into an application fill it 90% of the way out and then they request 6+ additional references on top of any past managers I have listed in my job history. Half of these jobs are supposed to be entry level and I suspect minimum wage why the fuck do they need my life story

. I can't stand Facebook since I like my privacy, but I guess I better start networking more.

I feel you on this. I'm not exactly sure when it is, but I can say assuredly that I won't be tuning in. I used to like to play football every once in a while, but I don't enjoy watching it.

I'm not a fan of sports in general, but yeah, playing them is way more interesting than watching them. Especially televised sports where it takes 3 or 4 hours to play what should be a 1 hour game with some short breaks. You spend more time watching everyone stand around picking their nose and being bombarded by ads.
Though I suppose the glacial rate of the game makes it easier to sit around eating and bullshitting with your friends, so hooray for social interaction for those that do watch it.

Only reason I watch it. That or if I have money on it. Any excuse to have fun with others is a good excuse. Plus cocktail wieners, wings, pizza, hot dogs, chips...it's also an excuse to eat junk food. And there is also dressing like an idiot and high-fives.
Fun means enjoyment. Have it people. Makes life better.
Concerning beta fish, I had a beta fish named Vladimir that lived four nearly four years in a bowl that contained around a quart of water. No heat pump, no real maintenance. And I picked up a beta today, a bowl, some shiny blue rocks (as the fish is shiny blue), a shiny blue "tree", food and "beta water cleanser" as a gift for a friend.
There was a very flamboyant guy at Petco who picked out everything for me, and he did one heck of a job. I told him, "Looking to get my pal a Beta fish and have it look decent, but not looking to spend much". Dude's eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning, grabbed my arm and exclaimed "I have THE perfect fish for you!".
I filled out an Internet survey and mentioned the guy as he was very over the top passionate about his job. Dude wasn't a sales rep, he is a fish owner consultant and aquarium designer.
Enthusiasm. It will get you places.

I dont care too much for social interaction during the games. I actually enjoying watching the games because I love the sport and the strategy involved. Super Bowl parties bring out the "experts" who dont watch much but the Super Bowl and make ridiculous claims and statements.
These people are often the overly enthusiastic ones who cheer too loud and too often. This is also why I dont enjoy watching sports at bars and such. It becomes the lets show everyone else how much more of a fan I am by cheering and clapping the loudest. Now, being excited and cheering during certain parts of the game in critical situations like big scores and turnovers is expected And can add to the experience. I am talking about shit like 4 yard gains, converting a first down when up 3 scores, tackling the ball carrier for a short gain on 1st etc...

See...A Superbowl party is just that. A party.
If I'm watching, say a regular season hockey game, my eyes do not leave the screen and I am focused on every play with the puck. I don't like to be bothered, I want to watch the game. I want to watch the skating, the line changes, the officiating, the stick handling...every facet of the game, and I usually turn off the volume so I can play closer attention to what is happening on the ice.
But for me at least, the Super Bowl is a spectacle. Division and Conference championships are much more fun to watch in my eyes. What I expect from a Super Bowl crowd contains people who are more excited about the commercials, people who often get up and leave the game to grab food, people who can't wait to see Katy Perry, and guys who think they play for the team they root for.
Would love to watch a Super Bowl with a group who is into football, but the more people involved, the less interest in the game.
So I just coast along with them and not really care.
However, I do have a long standing tradition of playing "the Super Bowl" with a friend on the snes (Madden '94). For over seven years we get together, share honey roasted peanuts and Sam Adams, and play as the contenders (by a coin flip of course).
