What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Yay the seller is totally cool about it.

Dear ninjainspandex,

That's very strange - I check all my games before sending it out.

But I do have a few more copies on hand. Rest assured, I will send you another disc ASAP. And I will follow up with the post office about this. Did you notice any damage/rips on the package when you received it?

Thank you very much and I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.

I feel good about the things I had to say in the interview but as always I'm still not sure how well it went. I mostly have concerns about how brief it seemed. Only took about 11 minutes. Not that it should take longer than that.

I dunno...I've always rather disliked "Caucasian" and "African-American".

It's so much easier to use "white" and "black", or even better, euphemisms! We've got salt 'n pepper, white chocolate & dark chocolate, the list goes on. Damn it, now it's not controversial at all! I've gone and made it fun.

Shit.

I do love how the writer cleverly used "City of Compton".

:D I just got a sheet approved to not work tonight/tomorrow morning, so I can go to this arcade auction myself. I'm still not 100% sure what to expect -- pics looked okay cosmetically, but I have no idea how many people are going to show up, how much it's going to go for, etc etc.

:( Worried about how long the auction itself will take. There's 175 lots, all lots must be removed at the end of the auction, and "large lots" (which I assume all arcade games count as) cannot be removed until the end of the auction. It starts at 10am... roughly 35 minutes away from me, give or take. I must be at work by 3:55pm, I'd like to be there by 3:45pm. I'm only 5-10 minutes from home to work, but I need to turn in the van too. The reason I stress "Must" is because I'm working the 4pm-midnight shift for someone else in a shift trade (set up long before I knew about this auction) which means I can't use my vacation time for it, and it's REALLY bad if I'm late on a shift swap, they can revoke your rights to do them for that (and I do a TON of them)... so I clearly can't be late.

Now I'm going "175 lots seems like a lot to bust through in the 4, 4.5 hours or so I can spend there"... BUT the good news is one random auction site I found online claims their auctions take "about 4 hours" buuuut they also say they go through 500-600 lots in that time. Another random auction site I found claims they do about 125 lots an hour (which would be about the same rate as the first site I found). So I'm praying we should be able to bust this thing out in 1.5-2 hours, I can load it up, drive it home, unload, drop off the truck, and still play with it for an hour or two before work

This is, of course, assuming I can scoop one of the 2 Neos up for sale at a reasonable price.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

:D /  - started the purge of my closet....this is a scary but exciting endeavor. Sadly out of the pants I pulled out of there I think the only long pants I have that may even remotely fit me are some slim straights(either i still need to break them in more or they need to go) and my work pants(I might have a second pair of jeans that I can wear but this just proves I've lost enough weight to constitute this happening). Already eliminated a good bit of junk and it feels so ggggoooooddd!! Still need to pull out the totes in the garage and go through them too, but I think it's a safe bet that i should've trash bagged it all minus a few things for just a few outfits to last me... Wish I hadn't started this but it's going to be nice to see some of it go so some of it can be replaced with better stuff.
