Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
The instruction booklet for Sorcerian is 109 pages - by far the longest one I have ever seen. And no, it's not in multiple languages nor does it contain a strategy guide/walkthrough.
I generally like to read an instruction booklet in full whilst on the can, but I won't be able to do that here. Unless I have an epic Mexican meal the night before.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
That's surprising- Sorcerian doesn't really sound like something that needs that big of a instruction booklet.

I really hate the today's game production company's are too cheap to include a manual. Please don't hit me with that environmental BS. We all know the only green they care about is in their wallets.

Sorcerian is my all time favorite Falcom game. I love most every iteration of the game (still need to play some remakes), but big nostalgia points for the DOS game. What manual is 109 pages though? I have the DOS manual and it is pretty thick... is this the one that is over 100 pages or is it a Japanese manual? Not totally sure where my DOS manual is, but I feel like it wasn't that thick.

Yup. The DOS version.
I have the Dreamcast remake too, but have yet to play it.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Impressive. I don't have the original version of the game, I have the D&D Anthology.
But I should have figured a game like that would gave a huge manual.
I just checked - the largest one I do have in my collection is Neverwinter Nights 2 Gold (193 pages). Another D&D game. I have no idea if the Gold edition has a larger manual than the original game.

I'm afraid the #100th game (non-repeat of course) I beat this year will be something awful.

Do you own any Ultima games Bone? All of them came with actual lore books and other related swag, like cloth maps. I've only read pdf versions of 'em and haven't read 'em all so I don't know how big they are, but I know there's a shit ton of text with all the manuals and papers you get with the games.

Nah my only Ultima games are loose NES/GB/SNES carts.
I don't have any PC versions unless you count digital.
I did have the Ultima Collection when I was a kid, but I lost it while moving.
