Re: Playstation Vita thread
I'm only surprised in that, sadly, I thought this was already known.
(Not saying that people shouldn't feel disappointed - losing first party development is a huge blow. But it's pretty clear that Sony has no interest in supporting Vita, and have done all they can to pull back from the platform.)

Well, I'd hate to say I told ya so... Oh wait, no, that's like my favorite thing.
As for the PSTV hack, couldn't you buy a brand new PSTV and have it not be updated with whatever is the latest update that disables the hack? I can't confirm that but it might be worth a shot.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
@caster thought everyone already knew this? this perfectly states all the reasons though...
I can understand the reasoning behind making their own memory cards(thought I'd think those days had died with the ps2 but guess not). The vita could've been a awesome system if they'd just marketed it properly and didn't give up so early. They botched it up royally since i only remember truly a few months worth of ads for it back in 2012...nice that we're a lot of the games we are for it still...sony bugs me though with this to no end...

Re: Playstation Vita thread
I can't remember any ads for Vita outside of dedicated gaming sites/mags. On the flip, I still remember the PSP ads with Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" as being pitched at "hey you're an adult, you got other shit going besides games. This thing does that and plays awesome games." It was a great ad campaign. But the Vita... I feel like it was always marketed to a niche from the get-go. Meaning, not marketed much at all.
Re: Playstation Vita thread
They had a few small like 2 minute ads right as it realeased but it feels like they only advertised it maybe 6 months with ads only happening maybe once a day or weeknoiseredux wrote:I can't remember any ads for Vita outside of dedicated gaming sites/mags. That is literally one of the few ones I remember seeing and a few like it

Re: Playstation Vita thread
Don't get me wrong, I have followed Vita since E3 reveal hoping for a reason to want one. It is sad to me that I still do not.
Re: Playstation Vita thread
Plenty of reasons for me to own it...just sad that sony has basically dropped it. Still a lot of games to try and pick up though even if I did wish they'd open up that memory card to be cheaper...

Re: Playstation Vita thread
Tempted to pick this up. Just seems like such an oddball collector's edition.
Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God Limited Edition- $18.27 with prime shipping.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
Damn, wish I had waited. I picked that thing up when I first saw it, for like twice the price of that.
