can't wait for demons souls to arrive in October! Clearing my backlog at the moment... I recon GTAIV should count as an RPG, as there's a whole fucking lot of it, and its a real tedious storyline to boot :P

Started playing Final Fantasy VIII...since I'm playing this on 9/9/09 instead of the dreamcast, does that make me a bad person (9/9/99 being the release date of both)

Took me about 80 hours, which included about 5 hours of grinding because I wanted to (not because the monsters were hard).

I hope that means you liked it..?
I've had the game forever (I bought it brand new at best buy, I remember that), but I just never got that far. So I'll try to get through it this time around and hopefully succeed. I've played VIII and IV, which were great, so this should be more of the same. (I feel like I should have played more of the series though) I still have V for the DS waiting for me in shrinkwrap as well, and the VI remake should be on the way soon. I'd love to pick up the Game boy releases of the first 3 as well (depending on how well the originals have aged)

Yes, I did enjoy DQVII. As for the original three, they've aged far better on the GBC releases; the original NES versions are not balanced well.

I thought 3 on the NES was incredible. Why do you say it is not balanced well?
