Manhunter's excellent, but it was a flop in terms of box office. It got remade because Hannibal was very successful financially, but it would have been hard to make a sequel to it, considering the whole thing was fairly absurd. Manhunter was fairly little known, so they took another pass at Red Dragon and beefed up Lecter's role from the original adaptation. It worked. Financially, at least.
Understandable but I think many classics failed at the box office like The Shawshank Redemption. I see your point though, makes sense. I wasn't thinking about the money more about the art side of it.

Shawshank more than doubled its cost, that is considered a financial success.

Any one saw a movie called Bugsy? Is it slow, or noir like? Any film similar to it? I got it on an impulse buy and not sure what I am expecting.

I tried watching The Little Rascals(1994) for old times sakes.... I just could not. Its too childish to grab my attention.
