Re: Games Acquired 2018
I noticed on Friday that my hotel was near a Book Off; so, of course I had to drag my poor wife there. I ended up picking up a copy of Atari’s Greatest Hits Volume 2 (NDS). I then noticed that I was only a few blocks away from Nintendo NYC; so, I dropped in there too. All I got was lousy Metroid II t-shirt and a few pictures with Mario, though...

Oh, hell yeah! That game is boss. Not quite as good as Light Crusader, but still a great game. It's sort of upsetting to me that the only thing better about the sequel is the graphics, though.Reprise wrote:I've wanted Story of Thor since I was a kid!!!!![]()

Re: Games Acquired 2018
Funny you say that, it's because of Light Crusader that I wanted Story of Thor. My copy of Light Crusader back in the day came with a fold out leaflet advertising all the Mega Drive's (or Genesis'to the Americans) best RPGs and adventure games. It was like a big poster and it showcased games like Phantasy Star IV, Soleil (Crusader of Centy), Light Crusader, Story of Thor, Shining Force II. It's weird I can't seem to google it, but oh well. Anyways, I digress. I loved Light Crusader and the leaflet/poster that came with it really sold Story of Thor to me.pierrot wrote:Oh, hell yeah! That game is boss. So here I am all these years later, finally owning a copy.
I actually nearly bought the sequel a few years back. I came across a reasonably priced copy maybe 5 or 6 years ago and decided against picking it up as most people seem to think it's pretty meh. And tbh, I even prefer the 16-bit graphics of the original game.
Edit: THIS!
