OMG I GOT IT
It was hidden in my package with my Buffalo SNES controller and a new pillow... I guess that was a false alarm with the next week delivery date estimate.
OMG
I was supposed to do a lot this weekend but now ................
Zelda Breath of the Wild - Wii U vs. Switch
Re: Zelda Breath of the Wild - Wii U vs. Switch
There isn't, the control just isn't that precise. It's not that hard though, just drop it, re-position, pick it back up, etc.Tanooki wrote: I need to get through that icy area, hopefully I can figure out why you can't accurately place the metal plate over that bridge so it just goes in the drink. There has to be more than just push and pull to it. I'll fire it up in a bit, not sure how this afternoon is going to go and don't want to get into something to shut it off.
I've gotten as far as talking to Impa. Good so far, though weapons lasting for a few enemies or so is getting old already.

Same place as me, although I've since gone past that and are onto the next part of the quest.isiolia wrote:I've gotten as far as talking to Impa. Good so far, though weapons lasting for a few enemies or so is getting old already.
I agree on weapons breaking, but you do find some more durable ones on your travels that last much longer.

There is more than push and pull. You can move it up and down and it faces forward whatever direction you are facing. If you aren't using motion controls turn the off in the settings because that can interfere with using the thumbstick to control it.isiolia wrote:There isn't, the control just isn't that precise. Rupees are only as scarce as your willingness to hunt. Kill any bokoblins and moblins you see and grab all the materials. Those add up when selling. Also kill animals when you can and cook the meat; cooked food sells for a decent amount. I managed to buy the full stealth armor set and the full soldier armor set.Reprise wrote:Upgrading your outfits/armor: Is it worth it and when? I'm wondering if it's worth me buying stuff from kakariko village, like the Hylian hood... But since rupees are so scarce in this game and you can only really get them by selling stuff, I'm wondering whether just to skip it until I come across useful stuff like weather resistant outfits.

Yes, but it's not usually very precise with larger items since they tend to collide with terrain or something.BogusMeatFactory wrote: There is more than push and pull. then lift it up in the air. I don't know why it has to be that complicated.isiolia wrote:Yes, but it's not usually very precise with larger items since they tend to collide with terrain or something.BogusMeatFactory wrote: There is more than push and pull. It's complicated because you're trying to lift a big flat plate and balance it on a few toothpick pegs over an ice flow river while slowly freezing to death. Each time I tried it until I got pissed off at repeatedly dying it would go into the drink and once it's down there you can't fish it out, I think it reappears where it was or something of the sort as I forget now as it was late when I stopped (almost 2am.)
Maybe the motion controls were perhaps at fault, didn't know I could disable them. I only realized they were interfering once i was on that tower trying to look around with the scope and the controller caused it to pivot.

Ok, just to the right of that area is a bokoblin base built into a tree. There are three plants below it that bear chili peppers. Cook 2 or 3 peppers at once in the nearby campfire to make a dish that when eaten will give you resistance to cold for a few minutes.
Make a couple of those (there are enough peppers to get about 20 minutes worth of resistance) and you'll have more than enough time to place that platform and get up to the shrine.

OR just light a torch, set it on the ground beside you and it will keep you warm enough to do your work... which is what my 14 year old brother in law did when he tried it out today. I just wore warm clothesCFFJR wrote:Ok, just to the right of that area is a bokoblin base built into a tree. There are three plants below it that bear chili peppers.
