You're playing with the wrong people then. My time in Battlefield 2142 went like this:Snatch1414 wrote:The Hoth battle in that video looked pretty epic, however once the Star Wars shine fades off the game would I care?
My previous experience with Battlefield (3) goes like this:
Run half a mile, get shot by a sniper, respawn.
Run half a mile, get shot by a sniper, respawn.
Run half a mile, jump into a plane, laugh at the controls, get out.
Run half a mile, get shot by a sniper, trade in game.
OFFENSE
Spawn, join Vandyl's squad, run half a mile, get picked up in a fast attack vehicle by Xen. Move into offensive position as our commander, Phukface, drops an artillery strike on a target he wants taken. Rush in with guns blazing and take a defensive position to lay down suppressing fire while Vandyl and Xen take the point. Get shot, return fire, die from incoming platoon of soldiers but get revived almost immediately by Xen and go right back to mowing down hostiles. Worry when the enemy's heavy armor arrives, and then laugh when Scorpion pops it like a zit with his Pilum. Get in our vehicles and go forward or form up as a squad and move out on foot on smaller maps.
DEFENSE
Spawn, join Vandyl's squad, discover that our side sucks and is down to final point. Take up defensive positions with the rest of the squad and hold the point, laying down machine gun fire on incoming hostile infantry and use EMP grenades on incoming heavy armor to make things easier to pop for Scorpion and to cover him while he lays mines. Throw down ammunition so Xen, Scorpion, Vandyl, myself, and Phukface can continue to hold off the enemy offensive until Face can drop an artillery strike on them and the rest of our team respawns to push back against incoming forces. Laugh when Face drops an EMP strike on us, then run out and start shanking people for shits and giggles as the momentum changes and we win the match.
