Honestly, I'm happy to get Contrast for free. It looks more interesting to me than a stripped down version of a regular game.

Glad I saw this, I almost pre ordered it on steam!

I just noticed that there's no Ridge Racer game coming out on the PS4's launch

. What's that about?

If one has a playstation plus account on PS3, will it automatically transfer to the PS4? I'm getting a PS4 at launch, but I am considering signing up for plus now to play some free games on the PS3.
Somebody here knows!
And while I'm at it, let me ask this about the "instant game collection": if I buy a game on sale, I keep it whether I have plus or not, but any free games will only be available while I am an active subscriber. Is this correct?

PS+ isn't per system, it's for the PSN account in general. There's a limited number of devices that can be associated to a particular PSN account (
here) but my guess is that it'll just count the PS4 as one of the consoles you can have activated.
Content you buy at a discount thanks to PS+ is still content you bought, so you keep it whether your subscription is active or not. The free games are the ones that you only have access to while your sub is active.

This is the kind of stuff why I like to delay purchasing next gen. consoles . I learned that the good games only come later on , when prices are lower, and hardware is more reliable... in the mean time there are dozens of awesome games on previous gen. consoles for very cheap prices

i don't know that "good cames only come later on". Many of the "Top 50" or "Top 100" list of best games all time or for system libraries include a healthy percentage of launch games (Combat, SMB series, Ridge Racer series, SSX series, Halo, Panzer Dragoon, etc.)

Usually the good games come later into the console's lifetime like GTA V , Tomb Raider, The Last of US. Also system sellers tend to take at least a year or two to come out like MGS 4 and GT 5 for ps3 . Halo 3 came 2 years after the 360's launch... you get the idea. Usually the launch games are either split with last generation (like Twilight Princess) , or they do not take advantage of the new hardware.
That of course does not rule out games like Mario 64 and Soul Calibur for Dreamcast
