E3 2013 Thread

I haven't seen this yet. For all my G4 bashing I actually miss being able to watch E3 on TV. Don't know what you've got til it's gone. Is DKCR 2 by Retro Studios again? Can't say that I'm happy if that's the case. Those guys don't "get it". DKC Returns completely lost the spirit of the SNES games. The stupid motion controls, the sadistic difficulty, the lack of animals, generic enemies, none of the awesome swimming levels, collectibles being more about doing annoying platforming exercises to get them than actually finding them, Diddy being reduced to nothing more than a way for the player to take another hit, DKC Returns was NOT a Donkey Kong Country game.

I'd be much more excited if they had switched to another developer. Developers who maybe have actually played the SNES games.

I'm somewhat disappointed with Nintendo. I love them to death, but the Wii had so much more at this point, and we're getting very little right now. And where's Metroid? Hmm?

Sure, it is a caveat, but there is still an important difference. Sony doesn't require it and say they won't do it with their games. Now yes, companies that are prone to DRM will probably still build something in, so EA, Ubisoft, and Activision may go for something. But folks like NIS, From Software, Capcom, Konami, Square Enix, Atlus, Namco Bandai, SNK Playmore, Sega, Rockstar, Nordic Games, DoubleFine, 505 Games, Gearbox Software, Bungie, so on and so forth, don't have to and may very well choose not to.

Will they? Well, that comes down to them. If they choose to go with it, that isn't Sony's fault, it's theirs.

What did you expect from them out of curiosity? WiiU owners are getting access to games that are desirable from the competition. They are getting Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed IV, splinter Cell, Batman.

Add to this games that the competition aren't like Bayonetta 2, Wonderful 101, "X", Shin Megami Tensei IV(3DS), and Scribblenauts Unmasked.

Look, they didn't provide long term, story-driven entertainment, but they provided tools to flesh out the miiverse even more (which I think looks really really cool!), and games that are pure unadulterated fun. Mario Kart, Smash Bros. Those games are going to be so much fun. Not to mention Pikmin 3, the game everyone has been wanting for a long time will finally be a reality.

If what you want from Nintendo is only Metroid? ... my condolences.

yeah people are up in arms about that...I mean...Brawl did have nintendogs clog the screen.

the Wii Fit Trainer seems whacky..her final smash is she bombards you with explosive yoga poses. People get too uptight about stuff sometimes.
