excitebike free to download for a period of time then you can buy it if you like it.
I really love how the old 8 bit games looks in 3d, its glorious. It felt fresh , but yet still have the same feeling and nostalgia of the NES without a major graphical update.
I would love to see ninja gaiden series redone in 3d, matter fact i love to see all the good nes games redone in 3d.

So yea only game i got from the store is mario land, which is pretty decent i guess. I wish i knew Zelda DX was on it or else i buy that instead . :(
Also i wish they had a thing to remap the buttons because the layout for mario buttons sucks in my oppinion.

Excitebike is our reward for them putting off the update until June I think. Thats why its only available through July.

I thought the net browser loaded pretty quickly, although honestly I don't see the point of even having one.

I wish the videos could be streamed like the Nintendo channel. I don't like having to download each preview video to watch it. It would be better if I could download them in a slate.

Does anybody know if 3DS games like SSFIV are capable of being played online with WPA or WPA2 encryption? To me that was always a thorn with DS games that only WEP was supported. I'm already pretty pissed that the 3DS does support the N standard, as I have to continue to have my router output mixed, instead of N only as when that G device connects in slows all the N devices down to G speeds.

I spent a lot of time checking out the eshop update. We need to have the option to download videos, because they don't always stream smoothly. I have a really fast internet but even still, the 3DS couldn't stream right. It would play and pause constantly as it was streaming. I wanted to watch that 3D episode of Game Center CX but had to give up because it was unwatchable.

At least we could download those 3D trailers. I downloaded a ton of those and they are really cool. Excitebike is pretty cool too. It's really amazing when you move the 3D slider on it and watch how the game changes.

I know there is a free Pokedex but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to download it. All I could find was a preview video and some screenshots. I even did a search for Pocket Monster and couldn't find the actual software download.

The web browser doesn't support flash or HTML 5 so I dunno how useful it will be. I haven't bothered to use it much. Seems sorta crappy without video support.

THe browser is kinda slow and cumbersome for me, its loading is like a trickle effect. As for the videos on the e-shop i think its okay to hav eto download the 3D videos , would be better if you could que up a bunch at a time. The streaming videos i have had no issue streaming them... it smooth but a little bit of a lower quality.

And damn mario land is pretty tough epecially with that gay button layout. Hold B to run and A to jump, its horrible because my fingers get cramped too fast and just uncomfortable. Any way you could remapped the buttons for Mario Land ?

Anybody know if there will ever be an r4 or anycard to get roms to work on the 3ds without bricking the damn thing?

What?! B to run and A to jump? How could Nintendo fuck that up so badly? Obviously they should use Y & B (run & jump).

I guess I'm happy that I don't support those games. They sound unplayable.

Isn't that the mapping that they used on the original GameBoy? Why would they change it for the 3DS?

The angle of the B and A and the original GB was not as sharp as the SNES style diamond pattern. Nintendo realized this with Super Mario World. I'm guessing someone wasn't paying attention at Nintendo.

Because the angle of the 3DS buttons is different, and very uncomfortable to use. Holding Y to run and pressing B to jump would have been much comfier, in the same layout as SNES games.

Nintendo did the same mistake with the Game Boy Player on SNES and NSMB on DS, but the difference there is that both included the option to switch to the Y + B control scheme instead. That doesn't seem to have been included on virtual game boy. I'm a bit worried about the whole service if I'm forced to use these two buttons the whole time.
