I meant to ask the same thing. Can't believe I let the weekend pass without looking at that Tetris cab! Does that mount on there? Or is it just resting on top? I've been wanting to put something together for 6-button games (especially after last weekend) and that seems like an easy way to cut out a lot of work getting a panel to fit.
Ha! I know I showed ninja, meant to show you as well. I ended up just taking shortcuts. That is a BLAZE twinstick (the SE, not the mini). Not terribly common, but the PSX BLAZE is in fact common, and can be used too, just need adapters if using it on SAT or DC, etc.

I removed the original panel and just cut a custom one out of plywood and painted it. The panel top is 3/4" wider than the actual stick, so then I cut a 3/4" band of plywood and mounted that on top, it's a pretty good cut, so it acts as a good brace, the stick is in there, but yeah, it can be removed. The entire panel can swing open if needed, it's mounted via 6 swing hinges.

I just have a standard monitor, and a dreamcast in there. The dreamcast is in the old coin door (so it takes 3 seconds to open and switch games). and the controller cables drop in and underneath when I open up the panel, really clean look. Currently hooked up via s-video, but going to get a JNX VGA cable w/SLG so it feels like a legit arcade cab.

Need to update the OP w/new pics - had a major overhaul recently and added a ton of PCB's. Really getting away from collection and getting stuff i'll play. Sold about 80 RPG's and the rest was just repetitive stuff (dups, or cross-platform releases). In total I probably sold about 200 games and replaced 'em with 30 PCB's.

My last set of boxes arrived last night and today - 4 total boxes (1 not pictured, opened it last night).

You will love your EverDrive. I love mine! It is nice to collect actual carts, but the EverDrive saves you cash in the long run and keeps your physical collection down.

How involved is it to download roms to that and play?

AFAIK, just find the rom on one of the sites, download it to your SD card, put the card into your cart and off you go. Mine came pre-loaded with pretty much everything i'll want, so haven't had to do anything yet.

Be sure to get one with the dsp1 chip or a lot of the best games won't be compatible.

My Wild Guns cart paid for the Everdrive, component modded console, and the virtua stick for DC. Hard to argue with it. I like having original carts as you know, but some relatively common carts are hyper-inflated right now and just makes sense to go this route on some levels.

That said - Donnie...BATTLE BAKRAID, kid!

So, it comes pre-loaded with games?

How good does the SNES look in composite? I know S-Video can be a little iffy, so just curious.

I'll have to check some videos of Bakraid; admittedly I'm not familiar.

I got mine used - so it came pre-loaded. Normally you'd have to download them all yourself.

Component - not composite. Component looks glorious on a CRT, on LCD, it's hit or miss, signal keeps dropping out or not coming on at all depending on which TV it's setup on.

Bakraid is what happened when Battle Garegga got Armed Police Batrider preggers.

Didn't you one time buy all those CPS2 games and then sale them? Only to re buy them?
I know I have had to do that a few times.
Or am I thinking about different games?

Crap, I meant to say component.

Right, so if you buy a new one, you start from scratch.
I assume all the games play true to the originals, or you wouldn't have considered it.

That sounds awesome; now you've definitely piqued my interest.

 Yeah, I had everything but the puzzle mahjong game or whatever it is and Cyberbots. Even had Rockman 1 (extremely rare on cps2, extremely common on cps1). At the time I had convinced myself I couldn't get my kick harness wired correctly so sold all the fighters and then sold the shooters too, for some reason. I had convinced myself the SAT/DC ports were as good...but they just aren't for the most part. I'm close to a full set again, but I won't shell out $450 for Rockman 1 again, which is what I sold it for.

Yeah, from what i've tried, I was convinced it was pretty dang close. I played a few of the roms on MAME first, Castlevania IV, Super Punch Out, Space Megaforce and a couple others. Everything was pretty flawless, so I took the plunge. SNES isn't a console I play much, mostly for my kids, and I had 300 carts, half of them in UGC's w/art...just took up way too much room for how little I played it. I kept all my SFC stuff because they are all CIB and I love the artwork.
