#3. F.E.A.R. Extraction Point
#4. F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate
#5. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World !NEW!
I don't know what else to say about this game that hasn't been said already. Great beat 'em up, though sometimes tricky difficulty going solo. Mad props to Anamanaguchi with the soundtrack too!

Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift was a free little add on to the main game that I beat in short order. I really hope there's a sequel to this game, as each progressive "box" introduced some really cool mechanics.
Mass Effect has been sitting on my shelf for some time, and I finally decided it was time to give it a go. I played a lot of Dragon Age and its expansions last year, and I can clearly see how ME influenced that game. As a result, it was hard not to compare. On the plus side, Mass Effect was more polished, less buggy, and better looking and sounding. On the other hand, Dragon Age offered more depth with a wider variety of things to do, a bigger cast of characters, and a more nuanced and detailed combat system. Still, in the end, Mass Effect was more fun to play, if comparatively short (I did a healthy percentage of sidequests and still finished the game in just under 20 hours). In any case, I'm really looking forward to sinking my teeth into ME2 in the near future.
Mass Effect 2 really is a better game in almost every aspect (The story and the overall gameplay take massive steps forward) and I love when little things from the first game that you made choices with come into the second.
Its funny I
LOVE both ME and ME2 but cant for the life of me get into Dragon Age (I have tried playing it on the PC and the 360 but just cant get into it).
Also in Kirby Superstar Ultra, did you finish the arena, I have finished all other aspects of the game but that, pain in the ass.

i have mixed feelings about this game. game has rock solid controls...but it gets repetitive. every level you have to find 10 or so diamonds. and that is it. and it is easy as fuck. but, the good thing is it isn't long, maybe 10 levels in all.
i think i might be done with disney games for awhile. i def need a change of pace.

Serious Sam: The Second Encounter (PC)(FPS)
X-Men: Mutant Academy (PS1)(Fighting)
Street Fighter Alpha (PS2)(Fighting)
Extermination (PS2)(Survival Horror)
Spyro the Dragon (PS1)(Platformer)
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! (PS1)(Platformer)
Myst III: Exile (PC)(Graphic Adventure)
Shaq Fu (GEN)(Fighting)
Spyro: Year of the Dragon (PS1)(Platformer)
TOTAL: 9
And with that, I have finished the original three Spyro games by Insomniac Games. It's been a fun journey through a set of classic 3D platformers, and I'd say the experience has been largely positive. I appreciated the world design, art direction, and music of the first two, and the third continued to impress. The story was plotted well and successfully interwoven into the game. The addition of playable secondary characters was entertaining, as each possessed a unique personality and handled differently. It helped keep the gameplay from becoming too repetitive, though I must admit that after having played three of these games in less than a month, by the time I got to the true final boss battle, the series was wearing on me.
Still, I feel the need to criticize some of the sub-areas. The third Spyro features side areas in certain levels which change the genre of the gameplay for a short burst. It's interesting and fresh feeling, but several of the areas never felt as comfortable to me as the others. The boxing, racing, and watertube levels were the ones that gave me the most trouble mainly because the controls never felt quite up to where I wanted them to be, though I had a good time with the FPS, on-rails shooter, whack-a-mole, and arena shooter levels. There were others (including a 2D platformer level which referenced Crash Bandicoot), but I stayed largely neutral to them.
On a side note I managed to complete all three games, including collection all skill points in the second and third titles. Both games include an epilogue, with the third ending on a solid farewell note. During the final credits after the true ending Insomniac also displayed a note expressing gratitude to the audience for playing through their trilogy and saying they enjoyed making them. I actually felt sad knowing that I've finished their run of the series and I'm glad things went out on a positive note for them. It's a shame the series left their hands, as everyone I've heard from has said it now dips straight down in quality (though if they had kept making Spyros, we likely never would have gotten Ratchet and Clank, so perhaps it is for the best). My girlfriend owns a copy of Spyro: A Hero's Tail on PS2, but I may take a break for a few weeks before giving that one a shot.

Great stuff Ack. Along with Legacy of Kain:Soul Something or other (sp?) I've never given Spyro a chance on my PS. That's something I'll change over the weekend.

IMO, this is a game that should go in the "classic games you never beat but should" thread. Play through Soul Reaver 1 on Dreamcast and Soul Reaver 2 on the PS2 you will not regret it.

Why play the first one on dreamcast instead of ps1?
