Frustrated: Stealing isn't my bag, but there are only so many notes:

http://consequenceofsound.net/…/tom-petty-awarded-songwrit…/

As someone who composes music I know there are limits, but I think Sam & Co. should not have caved. The first bar of the Addams' Family theme, repeated, is basically Reveille.

Plus, Good artists copy; Great artists steal, and all of that. And don't Tom Petty's lawyers have a record of being not so good people?

I'll also add that whoever wrote this article has no idea what a crooner is. Singing falsetto negates the definition of the word.

I don't know what snow is, all this talk is confusing me.

Kidding, but I've never seen real snow, and driving in it scares the hell out of me. Driving on ice is different, but it sucks. Some people say ice is worse, I couldn't really compare really.

On school cancellations, since my school was an independent district, we hardly ever had school cancelled. We had a flood one time, and where my house is located, every road out has a creek by it. Our luck at the time, every single one was high, so the only person who could handle getting out was my Dad, who took me to school everyday despite there being water up to the doors in the damn truck. What fun. Ice got school cancelled sometimes, but it was usually really bad when they cancelled it.

I'll stick with heat and humidity, thank you very little.

No, I have an inner ford. 460 cubes of pure American horsepower.

I got what Luke said but I'm turning it around because reasons.

Awesome, a guy I know at work just became a grandfather over the weekend. I bet he'll do a wonderful job of spoiling the hell out of that kid, haha!

Smile - Phone interview out of the blue this afternoon, aced it so well the guy said I want you for a different position since you are more than qualified for the one you applied for. Followup in person interview tomorrow afternoon.

Ticked - Gotta go to work tomorrow in a suit, which always leads to questions of "What are you applying for..."

:x : My dad just destroyed my Creative Fatality headset apparently. Went to put it on and noticed the cables were laying on the table which was odd since I always keep it connected. Then I noticed the audio jack was missing :P . Apparently he tripped on it or tugged it so hard that it severed the cord where the audio and mic jacks split since it was still hanging from the computer  . Needless to say I'm ticked that he didn't even mention it and just left it there for me to find myself.

At least they are on sale again for $22 but it sucks that I didn't even get a year out of this set.

:D - My laptop has been running with a bare minimum of headroom on its system HDD partition for a while now (~3GB remaining). All I needed to do was to borrow some space from the secondary and allocate it to the system partition, but due to a combination of forgetfulness and procrastination, I hadn't gotten around to it yet (it's not my primary PC, so this had never risen to the top of my TODO list). At any rate, I finally got around to it today. I booted into GParted Live, and found out I already had 20GB of unallocated space just waiting to be claimed. Sweet! This sparked a memory that I had already started this process at one point but had been pulled away at the time and never got back around to finishing what I started.
 - Damn I'm getting forgetful ...

Speaking of snowpocalypse,

I grew up in Miami. All the kids in my elementary school talked about snow like it was some mythical thing. "My cousin's best friends neighbor once saw a snow flake." "Nuh-uh! I heard that snow is just something on TV."
