yeah honestly, the first episode really impressed me and at the same time I had this feeling like "man, they're not even telling me anything yet." Like, knowing what I know about the character from comics, I know that they haven't even really let loose much in this first episode. Which is pretty awesome.

Jessica Jones is an amazing show, and IMO, David Tennant is easily the best (and scariest) Marvel villain. He's just so evil.
.....
My wife and I are currently watching Maria Bamford's comedy Lady Dynamite on Netflix. It isn't for everyone, but we love it. (It is both: (1) a serious examination of mental illness and society; and (2) a completely ridiculous sitcom that plays like a cross between Arrested Development and Tim & Eric's Awesome Show.)

I guess i'll try Jessica Jones again. Didn't dig ep 1. We really enjoyed Daredevil s1 and s2.
Don't bother with "The Do-Over" - it was horrendous.
We plan on Hell on Wheels s5, Bloodline s2 and then I guess will try Jessica Jones again.

Jessica Jones is so fundamentally different, though. If you don't dig it after a second try, none of us can blame you. I think it's a fantastic show, but it's also very hard to watch. My wife wanted to binge it but I couldn't handle more than an episode a week until the last 3 episodes because it was just so dark and depressing and seemed to hopeless. It wasn't until I finally got a ray of hope that I was able to finish it up. It is a show that is fantastic but isn't always enjoyable, which can make it difficult to deal with.

I've been watching the latest (and last) season of Person of Interest. Such a good show, I love all the characters and I'm sad this is the last year of it. I believe 4 seasons are still streaming on Netflix if anyone is interested.

Finished Top of the Lake night before last.
It is very much Twin Peaks meets Broadchurch. If you like either of those you will like this.

Huh. I've actually seen Top of the Lake. Mjmjr25 described it adequately.
After ignoring it for years upon years, my wife and I have taken it upon ourselves to finally watch The Sopranos. Yeah, way late to the party here. The party wasn't even going when we got there actually.
Anyway we're almost through with the first season. So far it's basically just a soap opera about mafia members. Honestly I don't yet see what the big deal was with this show, but maybe it vastly improves in forthcoming seasons. Right now I'd just classify it as dumb fun. This stuff is no The Wire or Breaking Bad that's for sure.

I have been watching House of Cards. I have totally missed this serie until now. And have to say I truly enjoy watching it.

Quite possibly the best new show of the last five years.

Help me out w/ the timeline a bit. This would be post-Civil War, yeah? Or at least the events leading up to it?
The chronology in the MCU is just release order. They've made it pretty straight forward.
If it's ever not the current time, it'll say what time it is. I think Agent Carter might be the only exception, but that one's pretty obvious.
Couple caveats, for Netflix shows, it's the release date of the season, but for Shield it's the date for the episode.
Daredevil Season 2 gets a little muddy, they imply that it overlaps the beginning of Civil War. But this might be an artifact of the separate production studios.
