Why the hell have I been watching "Let's Plays" more than actually playing games? Have I really gotten that lazy, or is the fact that the commentary is usually funny and I have no friends?

I think calling Let's Play commentary "usually funny" is a bit inaccurate.

Just looked it up, and no I haven't. I'll be sure to check it out when I get home. My weekends have consisted of.

1. Watch cartoons with my kid.
2. Play 20 to 30 minutes of random game.
3. Grab something to eat and start watching YouTube videos.
4. Realized I spent all night watching dumb crap and wasting all my time.

I actually don't like regular "Let's Plays" and "Walkthroughs". However, stuff like Game Grumps gets me to actually laugh out loud every now and then, which has become increasingly harder to do as I get older. I don't care if people like Egoraptor/JonTron or not, I think they're freaking hilarious.

It's like the best thing to come out of the entire let's play concept.

They find some seriously terrible stuff. People filming let's plays by literally setting a camera up in front of their TV. People fumbling with emulators during their playthrough. People who are just REALLY awful commentators, etc etc.

I went through all that trouble to get EDF 2017, and now I'm disappointed with it. I guess I set my expectations too high. The gameplay is a bit too repetitive to me.

So, now I'm looking at another somewhat under the radar game to trade this for. I'm thinking maybe Vanquish, but I'm feeling in an RPG mood. I considered Record of Agarest War, but I don't know if I'd be willing to get in on 360 when the second game is only available on PS3... hmmm...
