What was the last movie you've seen?

Watched Natural City. I read a review that claimed it was as close to an original live action anime as there has been and I agree. Great film. Kind of reminds me of how a prequel to all the Ghost in the Shell story lines would go. What happens before Cyborgs become mainstream...

The Invasion. A needless remake of a decent remake of a 50s classic thriller. Run of the mill alien-snatching "thrills", and cliched social commentary make for a boring watch. I would have enjoyed it a bit more if it hadn't been for the unworthy title.
You say that, but HOLY CRAP is that Jackie from Roseanne behind Nicole Kidman?

IMDb doesn't mention her. Could it be an oversight?

As for Natural City, I liked its aesthetics very much. Tried too hard to be Blade Runner, and that didn't work for me.

Been meaning to see this. Also, check out Deep Red and The Bird With The Crystal Plumage.

I finished Priscilla: Queen of the Desert. Loved it.

Woyzeck. This is the first of Werner Herzog's 70s movies that I've watched, and having learned it's based on an incomplete 19th century play I must say he did an excellent job considering the film was done within 18 days.

If this was the "weakest" of the Herzog/Kinski collaborations I'm expecting to be amazed by the others!

Wow, is vintage Italian horror starting to catch on here?

But seriously... would you recommend it? I ask cuz the Blind Dead tetrology is on my NetFlix queue.

I love RENT, and it's all cuz of this film, which reunites Anthony Rapp with "Adventures in Babysitting" director Christopher Columbus.

And also, check out RENT: Filmed Live on Broadway. It's the finsl B'way performance if RENT and it's WAY better than the film.

The Blind Dead films are from Spain but yeah, they are cool. I bought the box set a while back. I also fairly recently bought Rats Night of Terror. I like European exploitation films. I think I told you before that I run the Myspace for PAUK and I think I am a mod on their but I never use it to do anything. The site is pretty dead...maybe it will pick up steam again.

Edit: When I say I "run" the Myspace I mean it loosely since I have not even logged on it in like two months probably and only check it once in a great while.
