Mind blown!
Hitting up the star world now.
And man, this controller already feels natural now. I figured I'd use the Pro controller whenever possible, but I'm no longer thinking that heh.

I wish I got that kind of enjoyment out of videogames... or heck, anything.Xeogred wrote:

I do love that manga series. It reminds me of myself, in a good way. Or maybe not so good, but whatever.

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
This game definitely made me feel like it was 1995 all over again or some other epic Nintendo year (SMB3, World, Donkey Kong Country), etc.
I wonder how New Super Mario Bros stacks up against this? Probably still amazing but not quite this level. It's exciting to know I still have that and even Galaxy 2 to hit up. And I can just tell the next Donkey Kong Country Returns is going to be oh so good. It's been too long since I loved Nintendo, haha. Just might cave and get a 3DS XL soon as well for the new Zelda and other stuff. Mario/Zelda overdose!
I can't remember the last time I "beat" a platformer that fast though.
And back on my "wish Nintendo would develop a Sonic game" comment, after playing 3D World that feels even more true to me now. Even some of the later stages looked they were straight up Rusty Ruins from 3D Blast or something. This kind of fixed camera/perspective in a Sonic game would be perfection.
My ID is Xeogred I believe.

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
New Super Mario Bros. U + Luigi U have probably the best 2D level design in a Mario game since Super Mario World. I'd even go as far to say platformers in general.
If you love Mario, the Wii U is pretty much the system to have.
I can say with certainty after toying with it during the promotional event that Mario Kart 8 is going to be pretty brilliant too.
Have you opened Miiverse and Friends yet? The Friend Request button's grayed out.

That's the thing, I loved Galaxy but haven't really been into Mario since 64 probably. Same with Mario Kart haha (but the DS one I enjoyed). But wow, perfect time to get back into this stuff.
I can believe that with NSMB U... the Wii one was decent but it didn't really hold my interest. I've watched a bunch of videos of this one though and it looks a lot better. Something about these new Mario games seems to fall back on the old titles a lot in terms of style and such and I love that.
"Miiverse and Friends"
I... don't know. I skipped some of that stuff while setting it up since I don't really care for it, but I'll look into it again if some of you want to add me.
Wind Waker seems amazing so far as well. It's not my favorite 3D Zelda, but this upgrade is incredible.
They're busy but if anyone is going to push out another Metroid for the Wii U I certainly hope it's Retro again. I can't fathom how good it'd be. I'm also totally for the idea of them doing a Zelda too though, that'd probably be amazing.
Was Sonic Lost World worth it? haha. Maybe I'll wait for some price drops.
