More of a reintroduction, but hello racketboy people.

Been gone for a long time but i have been lurking for a bit and decided I might as well start posting again, even with the drama that this place has at the moment..... Rare for this place, just saying.

Mostly been messing with my portables and some pc gaming. Hopefully I can contribute some useful info here and there.

Hi guys and girls, I just registered here.
My name is Koen and my nick is Retroactive.
I have been a lurker for some time on this forum without registering.

My main focus in collecting is JRPG´s but I also love popular franchises like Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, Castlevania etc.
I also have a eBay store for over 2 years now and because selling on Ebay went so well I decided to start a webshop which opened yesterday!

In which part of the forum can I start a topic for the webshop,
so I can share a 10% discount code for all of you!

Kind regards,

Retroactive

Hey Retroactive, if you're running a webshop that isn't just a front for your eBay stuff, then go for the Game Deals subforum. If it's all tied to eBay, then go for the Auctions section.

Either way, welcome aboard. I'm sure you'll find lots to talk about, particularly in the RPG subforum if you like JRPGs. The Together RPG club just started playing Illusion of Gaia, so if you've got it and are in the mood, fire it up and start sharing your thoughts.

Hello all!

As everyone admits, I have been stalking for a while now. I always enjoyed reading opinions on games and checking out the Together Retro club.

As for systems I own I still own my Sega Genesis from my childhood. I also have an NES,SNES emulator, and an Xbox 360. Always trying to expand my collection so may be spending time on the for sale section.

I look forward to meeting everyone and making friends!

Hello everyone!

I have started playing a lot of retro games lately but people around me doesn't really share the same interest, the same can be said about a lot of the homepages I regularly visit. So, today I searched for a new forum to try out and ended up here, after a quick look at the forum it seemed like a really nice places which made me register.

I'm playing almost everything, as a younger boy I was mainly playing Nintendo and Playstation games but lately I've really been trying to keep myself updated on all the other plattforms as well. When playing I'm not only playing for fun but also searching for the best video game music out there, I will probably be doing some kind of music quiz events here if people are interested since I've been doing that in the past and really like spreading the word on good music.

Anyway, I hope this forum will be a regular visit for me from now on, looking forward to getting to know you all! :D

Hey welcome to the forums! It is an absolute pleasure to have you here! So, a big fan of JRPGs? Any particular ones that you really love? Any lesser known ones that you feel deserve a better presence? I am a huge fan of Strategy JRPGs like the Shining Force series, Final Fantasy Tactics and the Disgaea series. One of my all time favorite Strategy JRPG has to be Dragon Force for the Sega Saturn. There is so much replay value with the various nations and the artwork and story is excellent!

As for the more traditional JRPGs, I just finished playing Earthbound for the first time this year and absolutely adored its charm, although it didn't grab my attention from the get go and it took some warming up to. Another really great one that I played this year was Grandia, which we did for the forums Game of the Month Club, Together Retro. This was one I had long been wanting to play and the event really encouraged me to knock it off the list and I was so happy that I did! The combat system is such a joy and some of the characters were so full of life and lovable. I highly recommend it.

Anywho, welcome aboard and can't wait to hear more from you!

Hey, welcome! It is great to have you here! I appreciate a gamer who loves the soundtracks just as much as the games and I would love to participate in any quizzes you have lined up! We actually have a forum member who runs a Video Game Music podcast, which you can find here. They take requests and do a great job reminiscing about the music. It really is worth a listen to. They also are big on taking requests, so always feel free to join in the fun!

As for soundtracks, what are some of your favorite game soundtracks? For me, there are tons that stand out, but some of the most memorable are on the Sega Genesis for me. The original Streets of Rage has honestly one of the best game soundtracks of all time and it is mind boggling how much awesomeness you can get out of that little sound chip.

Another great soundtrack that I love comes from the Shining Force series. Basically anything came out of Climax Entertainment during that time really drew me in with their great use of synthesized snare drums.

Anyways, welcome aboard and again, it is a pleasure to have you here and can't wait to hear more from you!
