unless you count DoDonPachi or other CAVE games on PSN.
those aren't on the US PSN, though, so still require some region fakery of sorts (e.g. lying about where you live)

Everyone region-locks. This isn't anything that's exclusive to Nintendo.

It is amazing how quickly people forget that Nintendo was the company with the open region handhelds that everyone loved and praised forever.

Then they region lock their console like they always have (and like everyone else) right before Sony forces Microsofts hand and now Nintendo are super evil for region locking. Sure it be great if the WiiU was open too but it isn't like Sony and Microsoft had all their system open for several gens and Nintendo just won't budge.

Just bought 3 more Sega Saturn controllers making my total of 9 controllers and just bought a second Sega Saturn Multi-tap. Only need to buy one more controller and then my dream of 10 player Saturn Bomberman will be a reality.

Actually it was the DSI that was Region locked first and Only Nintendo is Region Locking now.

Ok quick Question I spent an hour in a Gamestop last night not really knowing what to buy. I Mostly stuck to the PS3 Section, the 360 section was twice as big though. But that's not important. I was just wondering when you wander into Gamestop and you don't know what you're getting how long are you there before you get something?

Yeah but the DSi was only region locked on digital games and the exclusive DSi games (and i think that there are a very few games).

I can understand the console but why the PORTABLE handled is region locked?

I imagine it's related to the R4 somehow.

Funny story:
I got kicked out of a GameStop once. I "spent too long browsing and must've been up to no good". I was out of town for a concert and had nothing better to do. I had brought my DS and had finally settled on a game after wandering around for nearly an hour (I think it was "The World Ends With You"). Just as I went to grab said game, a cop came up and started talking to me casually. I'm shy so my responses were short and awkward. Then he told me to step outside and then two more cops escorted me out of the building.

Pretty lame and I was pissed off. I'm pretty much a huge pansy and almost busted out in tears when trying to explain that I was tired and from out of town for a concert. All he kept saying is that I was doing drugs and trying to steal stuff and if he could prove it he would bring me to jail. I had to walk around the cold ass city for hours with nothing to do after that. Kinda sucked.

edit:
Errr... I guess my point was that I spend a lot of time when looking around for a game.
