I don't understand why you people blame Trump.

The guy is clearly having a blast with it, clearly he never planned to run seriously, and yet a large % of American people are supporting him.

As for bigots: isn't any extreme bigoted? I think that's why the SJW slur exists. to Describe "liberals" who are bigots. We have that a lot in Greece, leftists who think they are so high and above others morally, that you can only either agree 100% with them, or you're a filthy fascist.

So if you are somewhere in the middle politically, I can understand why you would want a slur for such closed minded and extremist people.

How about instead of banning all Muslims we work to fix the actual problem. We work to educate both sides, call for reform and understanding, fix political instabilities in problem countries, support and embrace the Muslim-American community who embrace American values, etc. Actually, nah fuck that. It sounds like too much work. Let's just ban all of em' and ignore the problem. Maybe it'll just go away.

Killing is illegal last I checked. But, it would be a good start to minding our own business if we quit engaging in war. You can't really actively contribute to creating a problem and then just walk away and "let them sort it out". This is a bad plan and would only cause more hatred and strained relationships than we already deal with. It would be great if as a country we did bother with some real education about the issues at hand instead of the question always being to kill or let live. The real problem is lumping in innocent people with those who are doing wrong. It sort of spits in the face of what we are (supposedly) about in this country.

The problem, however, isn't a problem of Islam, and prohibiting Muslims from immigrating or even visiting the US doesn't "keep the problem over there." Sectarianism is really just a form of tribalism, and in nations where the government has little to no power or influence and corruption is the expected norm, tribal lines grow strong as communities work to provide for, protect, and effectively police themselves. The problem in the Middle East has a lot more to do with money, access to resources, and the social dynamics of power than religion. Extremism in religion is the symptom, not the cause.
