I think you're right Ziggy I don't think it ever was. Off the top of my head there was Super Mario World, the SMW+Allstars Combo, DKC, Killer Instinct, I think there was Mario Paint bundle, there was Zelda, Tetris Attack, Super Metroid, Super Mario Kart, Super Gameboy bundle, Yoshi's Island, Kirby Super Star, even Ken Griffey I recall tossed in one.

That should be more or less probably all of them with a game at least between the normal and later mini console.

Sigh I wish I could find a Neo Geo X joystick for $10, or anything reasonably not at or over what they retailed for. The damn thing is very well built and it's USB. I'd love to have it for my computer. I bought all those SNK stand alone rom packs with the emulator on them through that anniversary sale over a year ago, it would be perfect.

Also good on you getting that NES Classic carrier, the trolls are still even making that thing disgustingly expensive, and all for a stupid zipper purse for your console. It's the least useful thing Nintendo CE branded that's being fleeced at the moment.

I seem to recall asking someone here on the forum what they thought about the neo geo x USB joystick when they first came out. Maybe it was hobie; maybe it was Ziggy. My memory isn't perfect.

In any case, he told me that it wasn't very good. I'll see if I can search up that thread...

I have one and they are light and feel very "thin" compared to the originals. The buttons also suck.

For $10, they are a great deal, but don't think they are anything amazing.

Wasn't me, if that helps your searching.

I'd pay something like $10-20 on one but not the $50+ I've seen it's stupid. They're slightly smaller than the original AES joysticks and yes as noted plastic is a little bit thinner. But the buttons and base are supposedly solid so it's not like it will crumple.

Eh, I only have the one that came with the Neo Geo X system, but the stick is one of the cheapest feeling video game accessories I've ever touched.

It's fine for what it is. Some criticism is warranted, sure, but I don't find it terrible by any means.

Anyways, a few games came in the mail, from a trade I did locally a few days ago.

Loose PAL Saturn game, and a loose GG "Sega Game Pack 4-in-1" cart.

Thanks Ziggy. I was totally off; it wasn't either of you. It was jay_red.
Here's the post from 2013:
jay_red wrote:You can put in 24mm sanwa/semistu buttons with a little work, the stick though, I feel, is a deal breaker. I had the x for a minute, and the joystick was what bothered me the most, I took it apart and kept trying to swap parts (springs, shafts switches, etc...) and could never get it to feel right.

In 2014, Noise followed up with this post:
noiseredux wrote:my thoughts are this: I've never held a legit AES stick, so I can't compare. But I opened the NGX stick box, took the minty stick out. Held it in my hand. Pushed the stick. Pushed a button. Put it back in the box.

My thoughts were the same - I figured I'd use it for a MAME stick. But this thing seems like cheap crap to me. Again, cant' compare to the original. But this isn't for me.

A day or two ago some member in one of my facebook gaming groups said that the 99 cents only store had Lego dimensions toys. He was right. After work, I went to my closest store, and there they were. I searched all over and only saw these.I don’t even have the game! But for a dollar I can’t complain. So if theres a 99 cents only store near you, head over and see what you’ll find! Also I went to Walmart and I got those two games clearance at $7.00 each. Giana sisters wii U, and Tetris ultimate. I’m once again a happy collector!
