so the original RE is getting a sort of super deformed demake for iOS/Android in Japan. I really hope it comes out here.

I beat Chris' campaign and realized, I think this whole time I've been playing REmake over the years off and on, I've only played "easy" mode. The game opens up with weird ambiguous difficulty setting choices:

I want to enjoy the ride = very easy
I like a good hike and challenge = easy
I want to climb mountains = normal

Naturally I would assume the middle option is normal, but after beating this run with Chris and looking at the trophies that's not the case. Also when you beat it, you get an additional "Once again..." option on the main menu, which then just flat out lists

Very Easy
Easy
Normal
Hard

So I started a Normal run with Jill and it's very different to say the least. , more enemies and FAR less items.

Apparently you can play as Wesker in Zero Origins. I think I'll pickup Origins to give Zero another chance.

Funny enough, I do think the first two RE's really are pretty comparable to Metroidvania types.

I started up RE0 again yesterday, but was kind of lost. Meaning, I couldn't remember what I had done last, nor where I left certain items. So I'm kind of annoyed with it.

In celebration(?) of October, if at some point I see RE2 at the resale store in the next month, I think I'll pick it up. I didn't enjoy RE1 of what I played of it, but I think I'm ready to give the earlier games another go, and I enjoy an excuse to try/buy another N64 game.

CV was pretty bad about some of the backtracking; it could have been mapped better.

But at least it's classic style. I'm growing to dislike RE6 more and more as I play through it. What happened to RE?

I thought I was stuck on the Tyrant plane fight, after about 20 attempts I finally realized you can catapult him out immediately when he starts bleeding. I thought you had to make him fall over again or something like the first encounter.

This game is shit. RE6 is way better than this. Fuck, I'd probably take Revelations over it.
