Sorry to hear about the freezing, aj.

My game actually froze once on the PS1, but it was one time during a forty+ hour span. Not too devastating. On PS2 the game froze around hour 5 and I suspect that had I kept playing on that system it would have happened many more times.

Anyone else have the end in sight? Is this going to turn out like last year where I'm the only one to finish the January RPG?

Compared to me probably, I'm going to attempt to devote about 30 mins to it and then saturday/sunday coming up I'm going to try and devote that to beating it out. Though knowing my luck I'll blow the weekend somehow but I swear I'll beat this one. I had to restart at the mines back in parm because I forgot to save on the ship and lost my progress when the vita died. Luckily did it this time around....

I dunno if you saw my post in Games Beaten 2015, but I found the outdoor dungeons to be one of the worst aspects of the game. Wish there was just a Final Fantasy style overworld instead.

Seeing this post brings back lots of gaming pain :? a so called friend a few years ago came by my place and borrowed 8 games which Grandia for the PS1 was one. He said he would play them over spring break and give them back. 2 weeks later, I find out his a$$ has up and left moving to Dallas! Failing to mention that little tiny bit of detail. the SOB!

Hope everyone is enjoying the game, I always loved the series. Mostly the first 2 on the PS1 and DC.
It's time to kick a$$ and chew bubble gum...and I'm all out of gum.

I think I'm pretty close to the end! I'm where BoneSnapDeez was in this post although I'm making better time.
Hopefully I don't end up needing to grind for a million hours before I have a chance at the last boss.

I'll play some more tonight and maaaybe I'll be able to beat it tomorrow. I'm expecting work to be closed Tuesday due to a snow storm, unless I lose power, I should be able to beat it then!

Not long now!

Anyhow, I purchased a PS1 on eBay. I think I'm done with this game until that arrives, so I probably won't finish this month any more. I plan to blast through what's left once the PS1 is here though, so I'll post my progress throughout the first week of February.

27 hours in and not a single freeze on my PS2, maybe its a regional thing. Or maybe its only certain slims, mine is an early Slim from when they released in 2004, you guys who are getting freezing is your slim a late or early one, you can tell by if it has a power supply on the inside or external. Late ones have an internal the early ones have a power brick.

It's odd but for me the freezing seemed connected to where I was in the game. There are a few places where the game froze repeatedly but I've been MOSTLY freeze-free. I just hope it doesn't freeze right after I beat the land the final hit on the last boss or something.

No way! I find the normal dungeons annoying enough.
(And I just had to go through some mountains for A SECOND TIME. bleh.)
But I made a second-save for myself in case I *do* want to revisit them. Someday. Far in the future.
