Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?

I certainly have a few more games for mine that I'm wanting to pick up now.

LOL, when I wrote the Amiga article on this site, I noticed the average price for Amiga stuff actually increased. I guess I have an enthusiastic way of expressing myself.
Perhaps this will push people over the egde: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lanfdz68HEM
It's got a good number of european games in the rotation.

Welcome to the Master race.

I don't. But I'm happy with my Power Base Converter. I do want, however, some more games to complement the 15 I already have.

I'm a huge fan of the Master System and I tend to sing its praises quite often. It's not too strong in most genres due to its small library, but it has an excellent platforming library. However, the idea that the Master System is comparable or better than the NES, in any genre, is simply wrong. I understand that this is a topic for unpopular opinions, but this isn't an opinion. It is objectively and factually wrong.

No, it's actually an opinion. But, as evident by your post, its certainly unpopular.
EDIT: Would it blow your mind if I said I consider the C64 to be superior too? Or that I think the MSX had better konami games than the NES?

-I don't care whether my games are first run, "Greatest Hits," reprint, or something else. It doesn't matter! It's always the same game. I'd only seek out a specific version if it had new content. If you can't enjoy a game due to an ugly green strip on the case - a case you're not looking at while playing - that's not good. And I have to say, the color they use on PS2 Greatest Hits is pretty sharp.

-Final Fantasy X and above are laughably bad, except XII.
-Capcom makes their games in a shot gun method, waits until one hits a target audience, and then bleeds that game's audience dry by releasing the same exact game with minor tweaks that are negligable to all but Capcom fans.

Agreed.
Also: super jealous over that SMS collection. I really need to get started on mine, but I keep dumping all my money on the Dreamcast and Genesis.

i hate the master system. i think it's buggy and slow and annoying. i don't know why. i should probably just spend some more time with it, but i dunno.
that said most of my master system games are for sale right now if you guys are serious about bumping up your sms collections.
