Which version is better between PS2 and wii? What controller schemes does the wii version support? I don't have any current-gen systems, so no 360 or PS3 versions for me.
Exactly why did the DS version replace the 2D animated cutscenes with ugly, 3D-DS graphics anyway?
How does the Mega Drive remake of Snake Rattle 'n Roll stack up to the NES original? The graphics look phenomenal, but how does the gameplay hold up? Does the high quality music survive the transition to the Mega Drive's wacky sound chip? Is it worth a double dip for someone who adores the hell out of the NES game?

I didn't even know that game got ported to the Genesis. I've had the original forever. Very underrated.

Phantasy Star II. Any advice? I know it's on the Genesis and Sonic's Ultimate Collection. Although, I'm leaning towards getting it on GBA to have it portable...
The GBA port butchers the music, believe me. It also makes no concessions towards being a portable game, and the save points are really far apart. The best way to play it would probably be on a collection or an emulator with save states.
The Genesis Collection is on PSP. There's also an IOs port of PSII, and of course emulators are on both those devices.

it does butcher the music, but are you sure about saving. In the port of PSI on GBA you can save anywhere. Isn't it the same for all 3 of the GBA games?

Hmm. Well, I'll emulate the GBA version for a bit before I commit to it. Although, I'm playing FF VI on GBA and the sound sucks for it too, but it doesn't really bother me all that much.
Looks like you can save whenever you like...who told me about the save points?
Oh well. If I'm going to throw a bunch of hours into this game I guess I'll do it with good music. Can't wait until Generation II is fully translated; Generation I is a blast.
