Looks in great shape.

I'm told Metal Slug 3 is also included (it's inside the cab).

All for the equivalent of about $150.

First off, cool pickup for a great price. Are those pirate cartridges or legit? I'm jealous either way.

The control panel has the four botton arrangement all screwy, but you know what? Most Neo geo games that I ever played only utilized one or two buttons anyway.

As for the cabinet itself, I can't help thinking that the shape looks a lot like a Konami cabinet. Like this one:

So... converted from a Konami cabinet maybe?

Nice little Monday morning thrift store pick up. They also had Battlefield Hardline for Xbox One but they wanted 15$ for that as opposed to the 5$ they wanted for Battlefront. Still no idea where they come up with these prices.

Is that cab using an LCD monitor? Is it running a single slot MVS board?

This being South Africa, my money would be on the former. :P

If you go there you can verify if the boards are real, stickers too.

We'll have to see that custom marquee when it is done.

i doubt it's a Konami cabinet like the one you posted, the coin door is way off. you won't know until you get it, but it being South Africa, the American standard of identifying conversion cabs goes out the window.

those carts look legit to me at first glance. clean serials.

Haven't verified the authenticity of the carts yet. I'll get to it.

I was busy trying to determine the version of the motherboard for that 1-slot.
So it's the vertical slot MV-1C. But get this- it's a bootleg. lol
I wasn't aware that they made bootleg main boards.

If any one is interested, this 1C is the "Gobit" version.

Crazy if you're sticking with MVS join the neo geo forums. Bet they'd love to see that gobit and the rest cab and all.

Figured I would edit this. Stuck on my tablet so I can not transfer a picture I made fairly well but for me a mega score today.

At flea market #1 I found for $5 together Ninja Gaiden and Prince of Persia Lost King for NDS complete. Also there, non-gaming, got a Dakin & Company plastic toy doll figure of The Big Boy (from the non-shitty Frisches Big Boy chain out west) in excellent shape with the tag for $5. It appears the last two sold for $78 and $62(missing shoes)

And at flea two the old guy I have befriended on the inside years ago who sells usedgames and other stuff had a not yet tested or placed Nintendo GC Wavebird with receiver for $20 (and it works, minor wear but great.) I think they retail around double that.

Totally happy how this all turned out.
