This week has been hell for me as well, I look forward to the weekend.Ack wrote:I'm off all of Thanksgiving week, which is great, but as a result I have to get a lot done today. And that has proven to be problematic:
A server went down at work, which made some of our databases inaccessible. It's back up now, but more work is being done on one of the tools I need to use.
I also had to sit through a mandatory annual information security update. That was 45 minutes I will never get back.
I have a one-sheet I've created for my tools, but since I'm leaving for a week, I now have to sit on it and wait before I can start sending it out.
I have to look up a bunch of content, but the downed served also made that whole system FUBAR.
I look forward to my week off.

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

EDIT: arrived home, 30+ hours of no sleep
time 2 crash
EDIT2: made a habanero salsa before going to sleep
idk why I thought that was smart
but it's a tasty salsa at least.
36 hours up now by my estimation

What the hell ever happened to trying to continue learning from your mistakes and working at being a better person? Nope, you're a flawless specimen...some random idiot who made a stock image with text overlay said so.
Seriously, not even 10% of them that I see are quotes from someone who was worth quoting. Usually they are -Anonymous (AKA "I'm not putting my name on that shit!")

Disappointed: watching survivor series in the first time since the early 2000's. What happened. This shit sucks

Wrestling isn't what it used to be back in the Attitude era.

Yeah my kids are watching it now. Would rather gain an hr of sleep than watch that crap now.

14 years later Cena is still the champ.mas wrote:Disappointed: watching survivor series in the first time since the early 2000's. What happened. This shit sucks
Because we always loved him, right.

Attitude era was the "new wrestling" that was not like the wrestling I grew up with and then didn't care anymore.samsonlonghair wrote:Wrestling isn't what it used to be back in the Attitude era.

Smile: I got my E dosage doubled on Friday, and that makes me a happy Vicky.
As of tomorrow, it will have been one month since I started, and I'm glad to be where I am now.
Frown: I'm pretty exhausted lately; I just finished a 10+ page analysis/testing report on economics systems in German board games, a game demo assignment in ActionScript, a review for Snackbar, a paper on psychiatric disorders, and I'm working on an analysis of mechanics-as-metaphor in Papers, Please! DigiPen is a tough school, but I really enjoy the work.

You must be like my friend who's been a long time fan. He believes the era right before the Attitude era hit was the best. It was still about the sport and matches, technical wrestlers like Bret Hart, Curt Henning, Shawn Michaels, etc were starting to take over from the giants, and yeah. Attitude era was all theatrics.MrPopo wrote:Attitude era was the "new wrestling" that was not like the wrestling I grew up with and then didn't care anymore.samsonlonghair wrote:Wrestling isn't what it used to be back in the Attitude era.
No denying I was a fan though, heh. It was all about the NWO (original) and the Rock for me. Loved when Rock and Austin were badass heels too.
