I haven't posted in this thread in years. Since becoming a stay-at-home dad full-time I no longer have the time or money to go tooling around town (or scoping out craigslist) for deals.

I did have something interesting happen this evening though. Went to the house of one of my wife's doctor buddies. Immediately when I walked in I spotted a little pile of what looked like gaming stuff. Wife's buddy said, "Dave, you like old video games, right? Here are some things I don't really want. Just take 'em." So I did.

Well for someone with no time or funds to do it, and I get the funds part without sacrifice, that's a damn good set of games that will take quite a few hours to really tear into and conquer (and Harvest Moon you can re-do quite a few times making the farm somewhat differently too.) You'll be busy for awhile.

Too bad I can't predict the future. I purchased a copy of Harvest Moon a few months ago. I'm gonna be shameless flipper and put this copy up for sale. Anyone who's interested: keep an eye on the BST forum.

Man, as much as I would love a copy of that game, I don't know that I have enough Kidneys I could trade in

I fucking should have done that. I went with the digital deluxe pre-order, though, since I had a twenty something percent off code from Green Man Gaming (and I don't really collect PC stuff in general). Man, though, Civ will always have a special place in my heart. I made my students watch the trailer today. I also made them watch the Nintendo Switch trailer yesterday. I think I'm inadvertently starting to develop a secondary curriculum around gaming. :P
