:( Had some drama that I was just trying to shrug off in order to just enjoy my weekend, as work was hell last week. In ignoring it my anger spilled out here and irl, and it was shitty as fuck. I was just angry at every stupid little thing.

:) Sat down and talked that shit out like an adult, and feel much better now. really should have just done that in the first place. So hopefully no more rage until Dimahoo :P

Fuck, I know you guys well enough and trust you rowdy bunch, so for anyone who is interested, here is what I was going through.

So, I've been with my girl for 10 years. Crazy, right? We've been through some rough shit, but the last 4-5 years have just been solid, awesome stuff.

Earlier this year she dumped some new on me, that she had cheated on me with her ex 4 years ago, and just could not find a way to tell me. This... was really odd for me to deal with. Soemthing 4 years old is hard to get upset at, and not something I would want to jeopardize the relationship over, so I just told her I understood, we talked it out, and moved on. Well, she did. As much as I tried to just let it go, I took a hit from it. My trust with her was lowered, and my security levels were at an all time low.

So, that was like 6 months ago. Earlier this week (timely, the day before I blew up on here), she tells me she gets a text from this very same guy, that he is in town working on putting up new lighting at a nearby grocery store. She had to sleep for work, so I didn't want to bother her with it, but just from the time she went to sleep to when she got home from work, my mind had gone wild. Every possibility had run its course, and I just didn't know what to do.

This, unfortunately, all happened after a week of hell at work. All I wanted was to just unwind for a day before diving back into the shit, and I knew bringing this up would drain my weekend of any relaxation... so i just tried to ignore it.

And man, that just did not work. I was just so angry, and I didn't even really know why, since I was doing everything in my power to block out what my mind wanted to dwell on. Even with good intentions, I was just raging (A "justified" rage can be quite a thing, can't it?).

So, we sat down and had a good, long talk. I made sure to get it all out, but only after separating what was fact from what was the "stories" I had going in my head. And... shit was not nearly as bad as I thought. We are actually doing pretty great now, and even have a week-long vacation planned soon, since we both need it.
A little more personal than I tend to get around here, but I wanted you folks to know, because I really appreciate you guys. Mike, Noise, Doc, Luke, I'm sorry for being an asshole. You guys (and all of you) are rad mofos, and I'd hate to be on bad grounds because of personal idiocy.

How was it? I certainly hope you got the "Happy" Dave.

Smile/frown: If there is such a thing as a Food Hangover, I'm having it. And I regret nothing!

I ate more in one sitting last night than I have eaten in an entire week. Not exaggerating at all. My pal Pringles called me on Monday and asked "You like oysters?". I do. He invited a small group of friends over and he went all out. I ate:

Two andouille sausages.
Over 24 oysters (raw, steamed, and rockefeller).
An ear of corn.
Eight fingerling potatoes.
A dozen clams.
At least fifteen shrimp (15-20 count).
Two soft shell crabs.
An undefinable amount of garlic bread.
And I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Awesome.

A good crowd makes all the difference. It's weird, but there are plenty of people who go to see a comedian, and have no intention of having a good time or laughing.

And yeah, too much food. TMI: I've taken about five football sized dumps since six am. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that last night I ate more food in one sitting than I ever have before.

I am too skinny. I have a close friend that, and I'm not kidding, makes me weigh myself when I visit her. She means well. She goes about it very politely, so I do humor her, but she asks, at least once a week, "Hey Luke. You're looking pretty healthy Why don't you check and see if you've put on any weight". It's now referred to as "The weekly weigh in". In fact, I already know I will be weighing in tomorrow.

I specifically said "football sized" because I'm fairly sure one had Roger Goodell's signature on it.

Yup. Poop jokes. But also Roger Goodell jokes. Evens out.

Edit:

Getting ready for a night with friends, stargazing and smores...and chocolate and oatmeal stouts. Should be able to have a good view of Mars tonight.

So I've been making this homemade salsa lately. Like the flavor, but I felt it wasn't very spicy, so i noticed habaneros on sale.

I added two habaneros to about maybe 2 or 3 cups of salsa

....that was way too much

oh my god I am dying

it just keeps burning and lingering on and on

help

Yea, probably should have put 1/4 of a habanero. Lol

Milk and spices can give you a bad case of heart burn.

Best thing for me when eating spicy stuff, like 357 hot sauce, is washing out your mouth with hot water or mouthwash. It burns like hell, but gets rid of it.

Eating bunch of bread helps.

Gradually eating some ice cubes eases the time passing.
