I'm playing as a dark elf mage. Never played as a dark elf before... or a mage, for that matter. Should be interesting.
What RPG are you playing right now?

Playing some Might and Magic: World of Xeen at the moment, and shucks howdy is this a big game world. I'm just wandering around, bonking baddies over the head, getting fancy loot, and having a grand ol' time. I really love the Might and Magic series. =)

Final Fantasy V still. I'm fighting X-Death, but his Level 3 Flare move can almost one hit any member of my party who gets hit by it. Unfortunately, as my whole party is level 33, this is everyone. Gonna have to grind to get everyone to 34 then try again methinks.

I'm playing Blue Dragon and FFXIII. I'm liking FFXIII a lot and I'm having mixed feelings about Blue Dragon.
FFXIII is fantastic thanks to it's fast paced combat system and top notch production values (Even though it's pretty linear) and Blue Dragon... is kind of mediocre. Some stuff is great (The combat system, the customization, the soundtrack, the villain, the leveling system, the loot and the monster designs) but the stuff that's so-so is annoying as shit (Maru Maru makes me want to hit him with a... desk lamp, the characters are undeveloped beyond belief, the game runs at 20-15 FPS thanks to lack of optimization and some hideous depth of field effects and Akira Toriyama still seems to be unable to draw normal looking female characters).

Now if they could just take those things and come up with a good story to match them we'd have an rpg masterpieceKillerJuan77 wrote:I'm playing Blue Dragon and FFXIII. I'm liking FFXIII a lot and I'm having mixed feelings about Blue Dragon.

It starts out good, but I didn't like where it went in the second half of the game. Just my opinion though. I'm glad you're enjoying itKillerJuan77 wrote:So far the story is pretty good. Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
Persona 3
Icewind Dale
Ultima VI
Bastion
Wizardry 8
My main focus is in Persona 3 (just played about 5 hours straight, had to quit because the battery on my PSP died, now I'm waiting it to load) and Icewind Dale but I'm completely stuck in Icewind dale and I dont feel like banging my head against a wall, but on the other hand I really want to continue playing it
I'm also trying to get properly into System Shock 1. Any tips on how to get over the complicated UI and clunky controls? I'd really want to play it through (with out setting puzzles and difficulty to 0) as the sequel is one of my favorite games (and from what I've heard it has an awesome story, and it's such an influental game that as a retro gamer I feel obliged to play through it atleast once) but the initial learning/adjusting curve seems to be quite high

I believe there's a wrapper for System Shock Portable that adds things like mouse look.
