Since I didn't watch the earlier seasons of cheers before I watched Frasier, it blew my mind to see how much David Hyde Pierce (Niles) looked like younger Kelsey Grammer.
Interested to see the reboot of Frasier.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I use to watch a lot of Cheers on Nick at Night when I was young. I think it was my favorite show for a while. I must have seen every episode. These days, I've watched a few episodes on Hulu (IIRC). I still like the show, but damn, after a while I want to punch Diane right in the face.
I've enjoyed Ted Danson in a few shows. Anyone like Becker? I was also digging Bored to Death, until it was canceled. I hate when you're enjoying a show and then it gets canceled.

I never watched any of those shows, but The Good Place is a work of art.

Nice, I'll have to check it out.
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I enjoyed Bored to Death too. It was a show that my friend mentioned and I didn't think I would like it. Next thing I knew, I was hooked. Lol.
It's too bad it didn't last too long. Ted Danson was hilarious in that show!

I told my mom about The Good Place, and watched a couple of them with her. We both agreed it was good, but I'm so easily distracted that I don't usually watch any TV. She binged the rest of them.

One thing I noticed about The Good Place, the first couple of episodes go kind of how you would expect the show to go. Then the story starts to really develop.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
The Good Place really digs into the characters and that’s when it shines. Great characters in nonsense, but somewhat internally consistent situations.
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I was listening to a guy talking in a foreign language I don't understand and I realised to me all that he is making is sounds.
Maybe the sounds animals make is a language just like that, maybe the animals have a name for human "sounds" like we have barking for dogs and quacking for ducks.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
A lot of animals do communicate, just not what we consider to be language. I had an epiphany recently though. Are other animals capable of developing language (over generations) if their lifespans were as long as humans?
