Microsoft doesn’t feel like it’s got a lot of buzz right now, but PS5 seems to be selling extremely well, and I’ve definitely seen lots of hype around games on modern platforms. Stuff like Baldurs Gate 3, Spider-Man 2, the resi 4 remake, Street Fighter 6, and Alan Wake 2 has been on a lot of end of the year best of lists I’ve seen as well.

Even games that I’m surprised hvent had more hype behind them like Final Fantasy XVI seem to still be well regarded
I have seen nothing positive whatsoever about Spider-Man 2 in the gaming circles I frequent. In fact I get the sense that people are very much over Insomniac's Spider-Man games and ready to see the company move on. I actually saw a scathing review recently from someone who finally got around to playing Miles Morales. I think it was Radical Reggie's nephew. Haven't seem much enthusiasm surrounding Alan Wake 2 either. The resi 4 remake can't match the original because the original was perfection. Any changes you make are just like spitting on a Mona Lisa
I have a lot of questions about the gaming circles you are in, because everything you have posted is a very distinct minority opinion.

Yeah, even I have seen hype for Spider-Man 2 and Alan Wake 2, and I don't spend much time at all on gaming websites these days.

In fact, that could be the problem, that you're in too insular a gaming community. I don't know where all you read for your gaming news, but these games have gotten a lot of positive attention.

Thanks to Retronauts and Stuart Gipp, I have learned that this is a thing. I have very complex feelings about the title.

I saw that title and immediately figured it must be from the UK.

Just finished Guns, Gore, and Cannoli . I am a sucker for cartoon art work. You really can tell when someone does something out love instead of meeting corporate KPIs.

I made my first YouTube video the other day. It's not great, but for my first attempt at video editing, I think it turned out okay. I learned a lot while making it, so I think I'll be an alright editor with some practice. It's here if anyone wants to see it.

I'm aiming to pick up a few Dreamcast titles this year, but as I was testing my console last night, and two of my games would not boot up. Those titles being Sonic Adventure and Evolution: The World of Sacred Device. I've had issues with Sonic Adventure in the past, as I could never get past a certain point in the game, but the disc always booted. Evolution, I never had a problem with before. The remaining twenty or so games I have all loaded up fine and I was able to play them without a problem.

It seems like my Dreamcast's laser or the capacitors for the GD-ROM drive are starting to have an issue. I'm hesitant to put the console in the mail so I'm hoping someone local can look at it and potentially service it.

Just curious, have any other Dreamcast fans dealt with a similar issue? If so, what ended up being the issue with the console?
