^ Awesome! I never see stuff like that offered around here.

The thrift stores around here have been very dry lately. I think they might be hiring younger people who are picking through the retro games *sigh* :(

BUT, I did manage to find one that they missed:

Clock Tower (PS1)

- $1.50

I've heard iffy things about the game, but for that price I figured I'd give it a go. Came with a nice shinny disk too, but was sadly sans manual (the back art is there, though).

I don't suppose anyone knows where I can find a nice pdf of the manual to print out. My usually resources were a bust :?

Got this at one of our local "Cash Crusaders" stores.

Total of $30 for the SNES Super Sope/Nintendo Scope, and that SNES 'Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge' game.

According to the "Super Nintendo Light Gun Games and First Person Shooters" article right here on RB, that Metal Combat game is reckoned to be the best of the Super Scope games.
So I'm pleased I got it.

Why is Super Scope 6 the PAL version but Metal Combat the NA version?

The Super Scope is alright. The one thing I found to be annoying with it is having to look through the scope. I think the Super Scope was modeled with a child in mind, so it's a little uncomfortable for an adult to use. Also, having to look through the scope the entire time gets annoying. I'd prefer a traditional pistol style light gun.

No idea. lol
It's exactly what I asked the guy at the store. He just said that the day before there was a lady that brought those in. That's it.

I don't have a PAL SNES for that pack-in game, but I'm pretty sure this should do the trick.

I think Battleclash is still worth having, and I think you'd enjoy Metal Combat as a sequel even more if you played Battleclash first. If you pick up Bazooka Blitzkrieg you'll have the perfect Super Scope trilogy of mech shooters. Good times man, have fun.

Thanks. :) I'll make a point of looking those up.

A couple other interesting pick ups over the past few days.

For the Philips CD-i,

Works pretty well. The hits register as they should. I'm enjoying it.

And also CD-i related,

I didn't previously pay attention to the fact that my particular CD-i console doesn't have a built-in IR receiver. So for the time being that remote can't be used.

And as well I finally received my replacement laser for my FZ-10 3DO.
Got it from here: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shi ... 04143.html

I'm pleased that it works great. No skips or any other issues. All discs (audio and gaming) are read perfectly.
I'm thinking to grab a couple more as backups.

This morning, I went to a flea market I have not visted in over a year. The resellers' booths had disappeared, and I didn't grab much. I did, however, get a copy of Commando for the Atari 7800 for only $5. It is a pretty rare game; I purchased it for less than 25% of its market price, and it puts me just a little closer to finishing off my 7800 collection.

(I also got Pinball Tycoon (GBA), Battle Arena Toshinden 3 (PS1), and Taito Legends Power Up (PSP), and I grabbed a copy of Black Dynamite on Blu Ray. I hit a local game store on the way home an dpicked up Battletoads in Ragnarok's World (GB), Legend of the River King (GBC), Microsoft Puzzle Collection Entertainment Pack (GBC), Rampage 2 (GBC), and Ballblazer Champion (PS1).)

Can I trust sellers on AliExpress? Is there a reason to use it over Ebay? And is this laser an original or remanufactured ?

Works similar to eBay. You get your item or your money back. You're also covered in the event of faulty (not as described) items.

Is there a reason to use it over eBay?
In this particular case, I would say yes. Find me a compatible FZ-10 laser on ebay for $20 (with shipping already included in that $20).

Not sure if the laser is original or not. TBH, haven't paid much attention to any possible markings that might specify it one way or another.
The thing works. Good enough for me. Seems to be of good value to others as well judging by the feedback for the seller I bought it from.
