Yoshi's Island vs Super Mario Bros 2

I guess I'd vote SMB2, since you can at least play as Mario. It does feel closer to the Mario formula, but that may more be due to how unique Yoshi was at the time.

Bionic Commando is one hell of a game. I think its similar to Umihara, not only in that its a grappling hook game, but that it has a bit of a learning curve before it really becomes enjoyable.I think I'd personally place Gimmick above it, but both are insanely good games that mix tight design with a ton of freedom of expression.

NSMBU was the only one of the new games that really knocked me back. I enjoyed the others (2 the least by a good margin), but U was really damn good. I still need to play the Luigi game.

I love Bionic Commando. It's definitely somewhere in my top 10 for NES. The Game Boy remake is just as good and more sci-fi flavored.

There's a fan translation out there of the unedited Top Secret: Hitler No Fukkatsu. In my opinion that's the best way to play it these days.

I've never agreed with you more than I do right now.

I've beaten all the Bionic Commando games except Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. I enjoyed all of them except the GBC one. The GBC one is just terribly amateur, and the original arcade version is kinda meh. However, I really enjoyed both of the Bionic Commando games that Grin made. Yes, even that one.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Thinking about saying screw it and getting Hagane repro cart. Just not a chance in hell I am ever going to have 500 bucks for a game. I would never try and pass it off as real. Never sell it as I just never sell my games. I just really really want to play it. I got a MUSHA repro and don't regret it as I could play MUSHA on my Genesis. I just also don't want to make a habit of it. I want my collection to be as genuine as possible. And it is genuine aside from MUSHA.

Hagane is alright, but personally I don't think it's worth what it's going for these days. It's one of the more Genesis-esque action games on the SNES but it's more cool looking than it is a well balanced action game (I feel Shinobi 3 has it beat on all fronts unless you want a game with crazy high difficulty or just really dig Hagane's aesthetic).

Go with whatever the cheapest option is and maybe consider Everdrives for other out of reach games to save yourself money in the long run.

I decided against getting the game anyway. I will just wait til I can pony up 80 bucks and get the Sfc version. With the same 25 bucks I got a Persona T shirt instead.

I recently picked up Star Fox for the SNES during Dsh's collection sale. It was the lone non-niche sports title I had on my SNES wishlist (I have a SD2SNES and 54 carts in total).

My other wants still are:

NBA Hang Time
Tecmo Super Bowl
Tecmo Super Bowl II

Those are all driven by some mini-sets i'm close on, and not especially urgent.

Looking forward to trying the original Star Fox this summer.
