I have finally made an account after many years of eavesdropping![]()
A huge thanks to all the members of the Forum for making this one of my top sites on the Net.

Greetings and Salutations! It is a pleasure to have you on board! Out of all the things you have eavesdropped on, what threads and articles were the most interesting for you? As for your own personal Retro Quest, which consoles do you favor for in your collections? Any gems? Any games you wish you could find?

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hey Forum,
I'm obviously new to this place, but I am also new to "retro" or "vintage" gaming.
I grew up on PlayStation and Dreamcast, had a Genesis when I was kid and would play my friend's NES. I just never got around to taking games of the past seriously until fairly recently and the Racketboy community seemed like the perfect place to latch myself on to. Hopefully someday I'll be able to return the information I lurk into.
I am pretty popular I guess, but far from famous. I am also creative, trend setting to a few, and have pretty decent tastes.
Other than gaming I love punk/garage rock, pabst blue ribbon, taquerias, playing my guitar, writing, Twin Peaks, bicycles, protesting corrupt political agendas and corporations, beards, skinny jeans, and so much more. I also sometimes don't mind but also sometimes hate being called a "hipster".
Anyway, enough about me. I can't wait to discuss gaming with you guys.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hello Racketeers! (Sorry … that's probably been done before, but I couldn't resist)
Longtime lurker first time poster here. It's actually a bit crazy that I've not become properly involved with the Racketboy community until this point, as I've been a fan of the articles for a few years, and a regular follower of the forum for over a year. IMO this is one of the very best retro gaming communities on the internet, and I really dig the thoughtful gaming discussions and debates that can be found here. Among other things, I hope to become involved with at least one Together Retro game this year!
My lifelong love of gaming began with the NES in 1987. I had played games before that time, but the NES opened up a world of "Capital-G" Gaming for me. At this point I'm mostly into emulation, due in large part to space considerations and family, but I have definitely gone through collection building periods as well. I have varying collections of NES, SNES, PS1 and PS2 titles stowed and stored in various places, with the NES collection being the most sizable.
I'm a father of twin girls who just started kindergarten this year, so finding time for gaming can be tough at times, but my family trumps all. One of my kids has discovered gaming and she and I will sometimes burn through a couple levels of co-op in one of the Lego games, while my other girl couldn't really care less about playing video games.
Outside of gaming I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding (which is a sub-textual way of saying I love living in Montana). I've also played bass for a number of years, and I'm just starting out on (6 string) guitar as of this year (thank you Rocksmith!). I enjoy most types of music (classic rock, hip hop, country, baroque, big band, whatever … so long as it's played well and with heart I'll most likely dig it), but if I'm alone or listening on head phones, it's probably going to be punk or metal.
So wow, I kind of blathered on a bit there! Uh … Hi!
