PS2 Final Fantasy XI Manual - $1.00 BookOff
This is the manual that came with the Sony hard drive. I have a couple of the expansion discs as well. Might one day see if a way its compatible with HDAdvance installs.
Image
Life Savers Tin Containers - $1.00 Each BookOff
No real use for these, but interesting. Maybe as a cord storage for Car Show Game Console or hold a secret map?

PS2 Secret Weapons Over Normandy - $5.00 BookOff
Love Flight Sims! Put out by Lucas Arts, the back cover teases game play similar to their XWing series from the PC DOS days.

Xbox Gamester FPS Master Controller - $5.00 BookOff
Have the PS2 version for years, finally found one for the Xbox. A programmable joystick with a "VMU" window.

Image

RCA Video Audio Cable $1.00 Each BookOff
One can never have too many extra sets of cables. Great for test hookups of equipment at the thrift store or adding connections to the switch box.

Hello Kitty Rubics Cube - $1.00 BookOff
No not for me, but my daughter who is into Hello Kitty all over again! One side if rotated back correctly, appears to have a large cat head.

Club Nintendo Zelda Bag (2 bags)
Club Nintendo Animal Crossing Cards (2 Sets)

The canvas bag actually pretty durable, though the graphic might rub out after continual use. This will not be an every day use bag, maybe store the Zelda Puzzle set inside when it arrives.

The Animal Crossing cards are so freeken tiny! Interesting for search all the characters to meet in the game.

Xbox Dead Or Alive 4 - $5.00 BookOff
Having recently bought Dead Alive 2 and 3 Ultimate Collection, had to add this title as well. Fighters work beautiful with my PS2 Blaze Twinshock Arcade Sticks with a set of Mayflash adapters.

Xbox Grabbed By The Ghoulies - $5.00 BookOff
A rare to see on the shelf game by Rareware. This has mixed reviews, but what the heck. Any game from the same company that brought in Banjo Kazooie and Conker worth a play run!
Image
Xbox Still Life - $3.00 BookOff
Another uncommon title. I get an impression of Idigo Prophecy with a point and click crime scene style of game.

Xbox Total Overdose - $5.00 BookOff
Game has a tease of Rodriguez director style of over the top shooting. The sweet bonus is the Tomb Raider disc. Not a just a game demo, but a making of DVD. Never heard of it, surprised the disc was never included with any of the Tomb Raider games.

Image

Xbox Tomb Raider Legend - $3.00 BookOff
I had to get the matched game to that making of DVD. I think I have ALL the Tomb Raider games on the PS1, Dreamcast, PS2 and the same titled series on the PC. The Xbox kicks up the graphics over the PS2 version.

DVD Pink Floyd The Wall - $5.00 BookOff
Oooh yeah! A nice upgrade with extra features over the Laser Disc version I have owned for decades. I remember this actually played at a local drivein a lifetime ago, the seductive flowers shown right on the huge screen for everyone to see. The owner of the Drivein had to pull the movie after one showing after realizing the intensity of the movie.

Image

DVD Robocop 20th Anniversary Tin Case - $7.00 BookOff
Great 80s flick with lots of gunplay. Two discs, two versions of the film with a huge amount of extra features. A newer take on the old silent film Metropolis with a Robototic body, when is one no longer human?

Image

DVD Wallace & Grommit Three Adventures - $5.00 BookOff
The original issue has been out of print for a long time and was pricey on line. This is a rerelease of their early adventures along with additional shorts. Nick Park is a genius clay animator, great humor in the animation and stories.

DVD World Wars - $9.00 BookOff
No not World War Z, but a suburb documentary series. I love history and documentaries, this is very well done. I hate the way the Discovery Network of channels show stupid reality shows and repeat previews ten times an hour. This is a great way out of avoiding that; grabbing the few good programs they put out.

A similar presentation as The Men Who Built America a chronicle of the leaders of each country. Supported with interviews by Scholars, Historions and heads of State, this "movie" is very entertaining. Churchill, Roosevelt, Stalin, Hitler and Patton are covered showing how events in their early youth led to how they were molded as they led their countries thru the wars. Hitler as horrible as the genocide was, especially is an interesting piece. How he took a poverty stricken country to become a war machine conquering super power; learned little things such as why his mustache is cropped from the Trench warfare days.

BluRay-DVD World War Z - $5.00 BookOff
I only buy BluRay if it is very unique or includes the DVD for a watch in any room of the house. Fun popcorn flick along the lines of Aliens. Disappointing the DVD only contains the theater release, the Bluray has the extended and all the Special Features.

Criterion Arthouse movies half price sale almost here
The links of the movies above are at the Criterion Thread, the sale is coming up in another month or so. Bought the dual format sets of Prometheus and Life Of Pi which also restricted the extra features to the Bluray disc. Criterion on the other hand puts ALL features on both DVD and BluRay; even when released as a dual format package such as Hidden Fortress and Fantastic Mr Fox for example.

heh I used to use that exact same xbox controller in highschool, its like the very first scuff controller people now use in COD. makes jumping and shooting very easy by putting buttons on the handles that your index and middle fingers can press so your thumbs never have to leave the analogue sticks.

Castlevania Circle of the Moon - $4.99 shipped

Dang....I've never seen a castlevania game for that low especially not that one when it randomly pops up in a related search or something like that there

Yeah I've really just been game hunting a lot in general on ebay. Bound to find something I guess. I'll let you know next time I get a good castlevania find. I think I'll keep this one though, haha.

I somehow always miss out on your group buy stuff, mj.

Granted, I probably should wait a good long while before I buy any new stuff.

Because they are very few bookoffs in the continental USA. There are like 4 in Southern California, and 1 in NYC.

Yeah pretty much I've never seen a Book Off before just aren't any anywhere remotely close to here. That's why I don't shop there  . At least the vast amount of pawns and flea markets in the area make up for that.

Looks like there is only one location on the east coast.

Goddamnit so pissed off right now. Was just at a yard sale literally 2 houses away from where I live and apparently missed out on "a bunch of original Nintendo system and games." The person running the yard sale said I was "minutes late". I guess I have to start getting up earlier, guys.
